You 2nd Amendment freaks & Republitards sure know how to pick your martyrs and heroes... link.

"arrested in Florida late Friday night on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon. . . "

Weapon was not a gun.

I wonder if he was brandishing a deadly bag of Skittles?

Even AL Sharpton has a right to defend himself with a firearm and he isn't a republican either..oh wait, does he have a record?

LOL @ defending himself

Very liberal definition of defending one self to hunt someone down and shoot them after initiating a physical confrontation.

Don't use the word "liberal" outside of discussing political views... It only confuses them.

How could Al Sharpton possibly be related to this topic in any way shape or form?

What was he guilty of?

In my opinion, I thought Zimmerman was at least criminally negligent to follow the kid and initiate a conflict against the advisement of the representative of law enforcement whom he had been talking to on the phone.

That said, the prosecution overlooked bringing this particular charge.

Martyr? Pretty sure he's still alive. And saying he was innocent (just like 3 different government agencies that investigated the case) and that he got railroaded by your race-baiter hero AG and other racist heroes (Sharpton, Jackson, etc), is hardly making him a hero. Nobody was wearing George Zimmerman t-shirts or marching and protesting his indictment. But let's take a look at your so called "Martyrs and Heros"...Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Sean Bell - was anyone of these thugs not committing assault and killed in self defense? How about your heros Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?

And let's not forget, the last time he was arrested the charges were dropped when his accuser (girlfriend) later admitted she lied and said that he in fact never assaulted her and never pointed a weapon at her.

Maybe Mike Brown robbed a store. Maybe thug is appropriate for him.

But you are throwing Trayvon Martin into the "thug" category? The teenager who got some skittles from the store? Really? Ok.

I had a friend who "admitted" she lied after accusing him of choking her. She loved him, of course, and wanted to work shit out. Jail would have made that tough. A weekend later, he beat her so bad she spent time in the hospital. He got off because she claimed clumsy and falling down the stairs. Abuse fucks you up in the head, especially when you love your abuser.

Zimmerman's past and present shows what kind of man he is, just as Mike Brown's did. Zimmerman's a small man who gets on power trips easily and Brown was a thug who didn't respect or obey authority.

you mean the teenager who was suspended for fighting and possession of drugs at school who assaulted George Zimmerman? The Trayvon Martin whose cell phone had text messages indicating he was selling guns, pictures showing him flashing gang signs and smoking dope. This is the sweet, innocent skittles loving teenager?

sorry to hear that but is that what happened here? As for Zimmerman's past, he has no history of violence or arrest prior to the Martin case and since then, has received countless death threats and has to look over his shoulder everywhere he goes. Interesting that people like you say Martin's thuggish behavior has nothing to do with how things went down that unfortunate evening but you have no problem identifying a pattern of violent behavior with Zimmerman, who like I said, has been dealing w/ death threats and walking around with a target on his back, and condemning him based on it. Makes a lot of sense and gives you a lot of credibility.
