Always the foot and never the hands, even if there is a button.

Isnt it funny that really old dudes can go anywhere at anytime and not give a shit? No tp, just drop and go. Especially at Mexican and Chinese restaurants. I dont think ill ever be able to do that. I AVOID these kinds of bathrooms at all costs.

I won't leave the house until I've had my morning constitutional.

It's as simple as that.

I have made four presidents, three popes and one British monarch twice delayed for scheduled meetings.

EDIT: The current president of Russia and I will never have a scheduled formal meeting. We have agreed to a Joseph Conrad The Most Dangerous Game style of competition.

Should the current president of Russia ever succumb to natural causes, I will have to renegotiate the conditions of the game with the next president of Russia.

Maybe it will be a chick, and the agreed upon outcome of the game will be different.

I joined the YMCA here in Chicago for a few months for sake of convenience. Ohh yeah, nuts hanging out walking around naked 2 inches from you. They really just dont care.

It really is horrible to have to dodge the older generation that way. I have a feeling I wont be that free with myself later in life(hopefully all of us here are blessed to make it). In fact, Im quite certain of it.

Rarely use public restrooms but when I have to, I use paper towels on the seat. Paper towels for hot and cold water faucet handles. Paper towels for the door knobs or handles. Been doing it this way since my early 20's. If no hand towels, than I roll up some tp.

It shocked me to see so many clerks and carriers at the post office who would take a dump and immediately run out without washing their hands.
Word got around the office who didn't wash and a couple of guys would mess with them by putting a bar of soap on their letter cases.

Maybe I'm one of the few old guys that has good hygeine.

Try and go in a clean bathroom if possible . I have done all of the above at one time or another in my 55 years on this great planet..

In their defense, they were going to be having the opportunity to wipe their hands with the pieces of mail they were going to be handling.

oh man. I was a member of 3 different Y's in my decade in the city. I saw enough naked old dudes to last me a lifetime. the Lakeview Y wasn't that bad though, since it didnt have the attached hotel where old guys live, like the Irving Park and Leaning Tower Y's did.

never used the sauna at any of those places cause it was always a bunch of ass-naked old dudes in there even though the rules said you had to wear a towel.

some of that is convention... a lot of older guys had army/navy service with the associated communal showers. and it used to be a lot more common to shower with other dudes in school or at the gym.

my high school had communal showers in the locker room... never once saw them used. and these days with every kid having a camera/video camera in their pocket and the means to transmit to everyone else in school, I don't see that trend changing.

Right on. I never went to the Leaning Tower but went primarily to the Lakeview as it was a 5 minute walk. The Irving Park as you said has the attached apartments and they walk right through the nautilus room to their apartments. I was a member 2 years ago and you could use other Y's for the same membership fee. It was good for 70-80% of the different ones in the city I believe.

Home games whenever possible but option 1 if 2 isn't available, which it usually isn't. I would add that I wash my hands BEFORE I take a leak - it's just the right thing to do - and if I'm there to drop a deuce, again after. Always use the paper towel to turn off faucets or open doors.

yeah I do that and wipe down tray tables on planes sometimes

my little guy has food allergies - my wife wipes down every restaurant table, airplane tray table, basically anything that may have had food on it that he might touch.
