Tebow time in Detroit!!!!

Think Flynn and Ponder are available. Not too much out there.

Seriously though Tebow might be the best option. Sadly.

Might help running game if there is a threat the QB can run, make it a bit easier for the RB running out of shotgun. Could almost try and run a read option type run/throw/handoff.
With the state of our Oline, need a mobile QB. Our WRs are use to the inaccuracy out of the position so no issue there.

Two weeks in and considering Tebow, what a hugely disappointing start.

I expect Matt to play but if the OLINE doesn't improve, Denver will knock him out. They really get after the QB.

I do too, but the fact they may sign a 3rd string QB at least hints that there may be trouble. I expect Y7Staff to play.

Figures the first season we don't carry a 3rd QB on the roster, and Stafford gets beat like he was married to Ray Rice.

All of these teams had either a qb or Adrian Peterson. We have Stafford and bell lol.

You mean Bell, the top 10 RB in the NFL who has 10 carries for 16 yards?

Bell is clearly not recovered from injury. another good player screwed by injuries.

Bell isn't good. He's a back up RB on just about every team in the league.

I think he was solid. Plus he always caught a lot of balls which considering Matt's the one throwing him the ball .. impressive in of itself. But in Detroit we get a RB that does anything and suddenly he's our RB for the next ten years.

But I have no issue with Bell. As an undrafted player he's did well. At least we got something out of him.

Bell needs better blocking. But looks slower than he was. We'll see if he can still caused missed tackles as the season goes on.

Nobody on earth is considering Tebow. NOBODY

Miller and Ware are very scary for this one. Reiff must rebound and Waddle must start. Warford needs to shake off the rust too.

Thomas and Sanders are good but Slay will take care of one. Anderson 2.3 YPC so far with poor run blocking and injury issues. Lions have brought good pressure so far and Denver Oline struggles in pass blocking. Lions match up well there with immobile Manning.

Calvin/Tate need to win their matchups. Talib and Chris Harris Jr can play though. And Roby against Moore or Tate. Ebron can beat these LBs in space and TJ Ward/Stewart.

Lions must run the ball well like Week 1 and stop the run like Week 1.

As bad as the Lions D has looked this year I am not too worried...Denver's offense has looked terrible so far this year! I am worried about the Lion's offense this week. I think Denver might have the best defense in the league this year. They have a front 7 that can get to the QB and a great secondary. Their top 3 CBs might be better than any CB on the Lion's roster.

Slay is better than Roby. And Slay is a good CB. Talib and Harris can flat out ball.

Exploit their LB coverage and safeties in this one. And we need to run like Week 1. Another terrible run day would cause problems. Stafford would die if Ware/Miller got 50 chances to hit him.

Calvin/Tate are good enough to win their matchups but it will be tough with Talib and Harris.

Denver can be run on too. 4.2 YPC allowed. Detroit is 4.1 YPC now run D with one good game and one bad game

Denver O vs the Lion D. Those quick short passes tend to destroy the Lions. While Denver hasn't looked great, they are going up against a defense that other offenses have had their way with. (San Diego wanted to do quick short passes..they did. Minny wanted to run the ball..they did). There is room for improvement from both. I'll call this one as a Push.

Lions O vs Denver D...advantage Dever..no real explanation necessary.

Home opener and nationally televised should go Detroits way with a noisy crowd. Lions did well in national games last year I seem to remember. However the lions can't come out timid and slow, the home crowd could turn on them.

Tough game to call, but until the Lions O shows something I would have to give the advantage to Denver.

SD has more weapons than Denver with Green, Johnson,Floyd and Allen. Slay will take care of one WR. That leaves Sanders probably. Mathis rebounded. They seem to be using Whitehead in middle more in coverage.

And Lions rebounded in coverage some in Week 2. Manning is not mobile. We can get pressure against their line.

Lions are back in it with a home win.
