Game 1 of the series is on ESPN Classic right now.

Tigers lost 4-0, but it's great to see the old players again!

This is my first time to this part of the board. I like the way you guys have things fixed up over here. Could have a few more posters of the older players up on the walls though...
 
I remember watching that game live waay back when.. It was a warm early fall day game in St. Louis, and the sweat was dripping off of SP Gibson's chin, as he mowed down most of the Tigers batters in that game. Was still in grade school in '68, (7th grade) but our teachers allowed us 7th and 8th graders to watch the games by wheeling TV sets into the classrooms. Had to run home to watch the late innings, since most were still going on when school let out.

Watched that game in my 6th-grade classroom. I was fuming, after the 6th inning, and the teacher put me in the hallway for an inning. I did return to see Gibson set the WS K record, but it was only salt in the wound to me.
