seeing as not much has changed since our last mock thread ill keep mine the same. Probably will stay the same until after the combine:

1 Justin Gilbert CB
2 Austin Seferian Jenkins TE
3 Ahmad Dixon S
4 Donte Moncrief WR

Lions talked to Dixon at senior bowl. He reminds of Delmas actually only no knee issues

I like Seferian-Jenkins in the 2nd if he is there but most are saying he will be gone before then... That is best case scenario IMO. Let Pett walk draft a TE that can step right in and have Fauria, Williams, and Dickson be the depth.

ya with the emergence of ebron and amaro I just cant see 3 TEs drafted in the first round. If Amaro falls im totally on board with him in rd 2 as well. As you said Seferian Jenkins is a best case scenario....im just hoping hes there over amaro cause hes the better blocker. I put them both as better pass catchers than Pettigrew.

Way better pass catchers than Pett. I think Pett is going to want to much money as well. Let his ass walk.

there is no reason why not to keep him. and he may not want too much money and could get him for a home town discount

only in your opinoin

you are right. He could be a starter in the NFL but he isn't that good. I doubt there will be a high demand for him in FA given his lack of production in an offense that passes more than almost any offense in the NFL.

He is a top dual threat TE. In todays offense that wont get him paid like Gronk or Jimmy but he will still get a decent payday

Dual threat? And a TOP dual threat at that? ahahaha. Last time I checked a slow pass dropping blocking tight end isn't really what I consider dual threat. He had 9 drops. He was targeted 102 times, making his drop rate 8.8 percent. That's one of the worst rates for a starter who is a regular part of an offense, and the nine drops was 11th worst in the NFL. And it's not like he is making big impact plays and scoring touchdowns either. I agree he is an above average blocker, but we need a better pass catching TE here that Staff can lean on.

if he can fix his problems with his drops then he could be great. but he is a starter

Im sure LKP will have the stats but a few drops were tough catches in traffic down the seam. Again not elite but a solid dual threat TE.

Comes down to $ with Pettigrew.

Exactly. If he wants a big contract, he's going elsewhere. If he comes at a reasonable price (not currently sure what that is, would have to research it a little), then I think the Lions should resign him.

Everything I've read says Pettigrew stands to be the 2nd highest paid TE in free agency with only Jimmy Graham making more.
