2016 Schedule

But they won't

I know that...I was just pointing out that the schedule isn't as easy as some think. Of course it is early...no draft or free agency. Every one of these teams (including the Lions) will be different.

Exactly. You cannot look at a preseason schedule in the NFL and say it'll be easy/difficult. There is no way to say which teams will have injuries, which teams will surprise, and which will struggle.

You can sort of tell if the schedule is leaning towards easier or harder.

It's not like the Browns, Seahawks, Patriots, and Titans all have the same chance to win the super bowl next year. If you think that is the case I'll take the Patriots and Seahawks next year, you take the Browns and Titans and I'll bet whatever you want. The teams with the most wins next year wins the bet.

I thought we were talking about difficulty of schedule. Comparing two good teams to two bad teams and how their records will look really doesn't have anything to do with the Lions' difficulty of schedule.

I was trying to show how you can look at individual opponents and gauge how your schedule will be.

Playing Jacksonville, Titans, Colts, and Texans is more desirable than playing Cardinals, Seahawks, Rams and 49ers

So I think you can look and say, based on all the possibilities playing the NFC east and the AFC south is a win for the Lions.

Having less travel alone helps towards an easier schedule.
