2017 NFC Playoff Thread

Some big NFC games this week, starting tonight

NO @ Atlanta

Philly @ LA Rams
Minnesota @ Carolina

Tough AFC matchup for Seattle @ Jacksonville

Best case scenario for the Lions playoff-wise would likely be NO, Philly, Minnesota, and Jacksonville wins

all of these playoff scenarios are entertaining but the Lions will be eliminated with one more loss. We just don't know when that is going to happen...but it will happen. My guess is it happens this week or @ the Bengals

Lions can get in with 10 wins if tied with Atlanta (2-1), Carolina(2-2) and Seattle(2-2). Atlanta would be 5th seed and Lions 6th seed (due to better conference record). Head to head with Carolina wouldn't matter with Seattle involved too

It goes to divisional tiebreak first so one of Carolina/Atlanta wouldn?t even factor in, would just be Detroit and Seattle.

If Seattle?s 2-2 involves 2 NFC losses, the Lions are in. 2-2 with 1 NFC loss goes to common games.

If it goes to common games, that currently favors the Lions 3-1 vs Seattle 2-2 with two games left (Detroit-GB, Seattle-Arizona). Lions would finish 4-1 in a 10-win scenario, the best Seattle can finish is 3-2.

It?s doable, but a lot of help will be needed.

Lions lose this week to Tampa and Caldwell still has a job on Monday, Quinn is a puppet...

It's really quite probable given the schedules. 2-2 with who Seattle faces and who Carolina faces. They have tough schedules

4-0 for the Lions is tough considering everyone is overreacting after the Ravens loss. The injuries are the big concern to Stafford/Ansah/Lang/Wagner but the Bucs, Bears and Bengals aren't good teams. Could come down to Week 17 against Rodgers.

Caldwell was 6-6 once with Indy and made playoffs at 10-6. He's done it

And that damn 10 second run off, people would feel so much better if the Lions are 7-5 right now and Falcons were 7-6.

Yeah, we are definitely overreacting, watching our team give up 44 to one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

I know, injuries, it was cold, Flacco drank a gatorade before the game, Tate had a headache, there was a 9 MPH wind off the Atlantic.

37 plus some short fields for two more TDs and a Tucker 50+ yarder. Flacco is healthier and playing better. Alex Collins has a good YPC on the season. Ravens are a hot team and it was a road game. Detroit was very banged up on O and Dline, RB and returner. Then Stafford got hurt for the final pick 6 from Rudock

Fluke bad ST game for Lions

Funny that Flacco is terrible until he plays the Lions. Lions defense is fucking trash.

I get it. Whole team is hurt. They are a mash unit, it's a miracle they've won 6.

It's the NFL. Deal with it.

This many injuries is not the NFL. This is beyond normal. Entire Oline (and backups) and Dline sans Robinson but backups hurt is not normal. Davis 2 games. QB ankle and hand. Starting RB. Starting SS done. 3rd WR deep threat a lot of year injured, kick/punt returner, top power back a lot of year, punter first 6

It became too much the last two weeks. Then you have refs for Atlanta loss too.

Lions are ridiculously close to being 10-2 or 9-3. Let's see how they finish

You should not be giving up on them until they get that 7th loss if you look at the tiebreakers and other playoff contenders schedule

Give the league a call, let them now they were really close to 10-2. Maybe we'll hang a banner.

I gave up them when I was 5 years old. When they win a playoff game, wake me up.
