Faedo, who will be introduced by the team during a 3 p.m. news conference today, was selected by the Tigers with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft.
His great junior season was capped with a win in the College World Series.

He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the College World Series, pitching Florida to its first-ever national championship with 14 1/3 shutout innings.
Faedo, 21, fits the Tigers? profile of recent first round draftees: He is a big right-hander, listed at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, and was considered one of the best power pitchers in this year?s draft class.
In three seasons at Florida, Faedo went 28-6 with 2.80 ERA, striking out 349 batters in 289 2/3 innings.
Faedo was also drafted in the 40th round by the Tigers three seasons ago.
The Tigers have now agreed to terms with 30 out of 40 players drafted and 22 of their first 23 selections.
