2018 ML All-Star Game Ballot

Castellanos and Boyd are having All-Star worthy seasons so far.
Lots of competition in RF and SP, so maybe Jimenez could be the
only player to represent the Tigers, providing he pitches well between now
and when voting ends.

Thoughts?

Nick is behind Betts, J.D. & Judge. He has no shot.

Boyd is top 10 but too many big names in front of him. He would have to go on a tear from now to the break.

The Tigers really don't have anyone deserving

Each team is required to have one player represented though so he could, why not? His numbers are deserving stop being so negative dalton lol

Truly, our only all star caliber player is Miggy but he has been out most of the season. Hopefully one of the young guys get our spot.

All kidding aside. Here is where Nick ranks among qualified AL OF

OPS 10th
BA 6th
HR 17th
WAR 20th

Kind of funny...The Red Sox 3 OF (Betts, JD & Benintendi) all have a higher OPS and HR totals than Nick.

I don't think there is a single Tiger that deserves to be an All Star.

I think they got it right. There were 3 RFs head and shoulders above Nick. Among all AL outfielders, he is 9th in OPS and 12th in HRs. He doesn't deserve it.

According to @StatsBySTATS, Joe Jimenez is 9th Tigers reliever to earn All-Star bid. He?s also the first Tiger to make an All-Star team at age-23 or younger since Travis Fryman in 1992 and the first Tigers pitcher that young to do so since Mark Fidrych in 1977.
