9/10 have to play (and win) 2 games to get the 8 seed. Loser of 7/8 plays winner of 9/10 for the 8 seed. Loser of 9/10 is eliminated.

the winner of the 7/8 gets in. The winner of the 9/10 has to play the loser of the 7/8. Basically, one of the 7/8 is guaranteed to get in. The loser of that game has one more chance to make it. The 9/10 teams have to win 2 straight games in order to make it.

It gives the winner of the 7-8 game a chance to get in with just one win and the loser a second chance to get in.

Which I find dumb. They'll basically saying 7-8 are just better so they should have an easier path. But those east teams are so close it just seems a bit unfair for the 9 and 10.

They are better . Especially in the west.

Warriors and Grizzlies are 48-34.
Kings 40-42.
Mavs 39-42.


Top two only need 1 win to lock in the #7 seed. Loser gets a home game to face winner of #9 and #10 who both need to win twice to advance for #8 seed.
Makes perfect sense and it's great for basketball. Warriors in big time trouble if they lose tonight.

I just didn't work as good in the east.

Memphis has come all the way back from down 20 with a quarter still to go. But Morant twisted his ankle badly. Grizzles are hanging in and getting every loose ball it seems. Warriors are 0-3 in play in tournament games over the last few years. Winner gets 4 days off. Morant is back in dressing room. Warriors 94-91 end of three.

5.4 left curry made two free throws. Warrior up 3. Memphis timeout .
Memphis gets a fast 5 second call on them. That didn’t look like 5 seconds to me. Pretty fast.
Curry back at the line….Makes both. That should do it.

While I agree somewhat on Morant when he landed and twisted his ankle I thought he was done. Amazing toughness to comeback. But yeah he is a knucklehead. I just dont understand the warriors hate . You can be sick of their winning. I get that. Sick on Green I get that. But when they started the whole shooting three thing they were a fabulous passing team. I liked it. They found something different and exploited it. I kind of think the Pistons are trying something new. They did find three point shooters this year. But they play hard on defense. They do try and score in the paint too. I wish when we get to three happy they would just settle for a good two.
Different can win in the nba. But they need to bring back some physicality.,
