Spring training is officially underway. It is 7 weeks long with the first exhibition games played towards the end of February.
This time of year brings up the question once again whether ST is too long.
Some players complain that they are tired and bored by the end of it.
On the other hand, managers and coaches have to evaluate app. 55 players during that time. Is it enough time to get an in-depth look at the new players, ST invitees and prospects?
Do the players need this time to enhance their training and conditioning in order to help prevent injuries that may happen early in the year?
What do you think?
Today’s blog addresses this question and allows readers to share their thoughts in more detail. And hopefully, to actively engage with others by responding to their posts and creating back-and-forth discussion threads. The more the merrier!
For this one blog only, you’ve got 6 sentences max to share your thoughts. Of course, you can also respond to other readers.
TT will supply the ammunition. One thought-provoking question. Several options provided.
One hard choice to be selected. One vote.
Ready?
Should spring training be shortened?
1. Yes, make it shorter than 7 weeks.
2. No, keep it the same.
