2025 Tigers Spring Training

Navigato !
He can play everywhere and led toledo in homers and I think Rbi's. He bats right and they never give him a shot. He had a .368 obp. Yeah he struck out Lot.
Gotta try someone. I think he is batting good in spring !

There may not be a Detroit Tigers tv broadcast game this afternoon but that doesn't mean there can't be some broadcast controversy. And it comes from a former play-by-play announcer who was released by the Tigers and still claims he doesn't understand why he lost his job.

Giving no proof, he called out the Tigers for pushing Kirk Gibson out of the broadcast booth. He said it wasn't Gibby's decision. Nevermind that Gibby put out a statement about focusing more on expanding his Parkinson's foundation as his primary reason for bowing out on tv.

Matt Shepard?
Matt Shepard is just salty he lost his job. What the reasons are? No idea but he was boring..

I'm not paying for another subscription to watch the Tigers. #3 for me.

I didn't realize that the Tigers are opening in LA vs the Dodgers. It's not like the Dodgers don't already have the best roster in baseball, they got the best free agent pitcher from Japan over the past 2 years in a row (one basically free) and have the best player in the game (Ohtani). That's not enough. MLB goes a step further and lets them open in Japan 7 days before the season starts for everyone else. They get to start their #1 and #2 pitchers for those 2 games, then get to start them again for their home opener.

McKinstry leading off today. He gets 2 singles. One time he gets caught stealing. The other time he gets picked off at first base

Tarik Skubal on his (official) Tigers rotation mate Casey Mize: "He’s completely revamped his arsenal. It’s not easy to go into an offseason and just kind of scrap everything and re-work it. You have to look yourself in a mirror and be honest with yourself. And he did that."

Parker Meadows recently underwent a nerve conduction test in Phoenix. He will need at least four more weeks of rest, A.J. Hinch said. Meadows can continue doing light baseball activities but isn’t able to throw.

Al Avila may be gone from the Tigers but he is still blurting out whatever comes to mind. The latest? He was warned that Javy Baez was regressing but signed him anyway. Then he claimed that no one saw the regression coming so fast. Every other team did.
This is the same man who Chris Ilitch graciously offered the option of resigning but Avila refused. So then he was fired. Why does this man keep revealing info that paints him as increasingly incompetent and out of his depth?
