3x Bad Sunday for Boston sportsfans?

Tampa is a much better opponent than Boston.

Their pitching is better...big deal, we handled their pitching all year...

The advantage is after JV and Fister our pitching is weak, and Tampa is less likely tear Scherzer or Porcello new assholes than Boston is.

Much rather face TB and their park than Boston and that flea circus called Fenway.

Is this not the best baseball stat you've seen this morning?
"Wins in September: Red Sox 6, Doug Fister 5".

While many at ESPN think Boston STILL has a far better chance of getting in, I think the Yankees are an easier matchup than Baltimore because the Yankees have nothing left to accomplish, while the Orioles are trying to go out with a bang.

Unreal: Rays went 18-10 in Aug., gained only 1 game in WC standings. Now 14-8 since 9/3, have gained 9 games with RedSox going 5-17.
RedSox are 34-36 since the All-Star break.
Royals have better record since All-Star break than the Red Sox do.

Dead Sux began and especially ended the season with two months of shitty performances (April and September) After acquiring AGone and Crawdad, ESPN had all but crowned them '11 WS champs, even before ST began. But there are 162 games played for 6 months each season, and it didn't come to an end on August 31, much to the chagrin of ESPN, the Graves and Dead Sux fans...haha!!

:)

Watch as ESPN (at least the MLB portion) will devote more than half of their time over-ANAL-izing the Dead Sux epic collapse for the next several months, while the Graves equally epic fall from contention won't even get anything more than a cursory mention once in a while.

At least ESPN still has the Yanx and to a lesser degree, the Fillies to cover in the postseason, the other teams that are given the lion's share of MLB coverage each year....for now. Of course I would love nothing better than to see these two teams to be swept out of the postseason ASAP, although it would not change anything as far as ESPN MLB is concerned, as then they would simply devote most of their time over-ANAL-izing why neither team was playing in the WS this year.

When I left last nights 'cigar night', my friends all thought we would be playing them. It was eerie how it all turned out late last night.
They must be sick to their stomachs either watching it, or waking up to the news.
Started the year 2 and 10, finished the season 7 and 20, in between they were 82 and 41.
This is the biggest September choke evah.

Carl Crawford 2011 salary: $14,857,143

Watching Crawford cough up the ball: Pricele$$

"Did you happen to see the new episode of Family Guy this past Sunday? The Griffins win the lottery and Peter turns into a terrible, obnoxious ass that no one can stand to be around anymore. This is what happened to Red Sox fans. It's fitting that the Griffins live in New England."

Looks like francona stepped down or was told to.
and maybe the GM theo epstein is walking on cracked eggs for next year too.

I would do it, KC, but since I found out through your reply, maybe you could post a new OT thread here on the Tigers forum, about Francona stepping down, that is, IF you think that it is appropriate and worthwhile enough?

Don't wanna steal your thunder, as I didn't know anything about that until I just read your post.

Doug, if you want to post an off topic thread on the redsox and their hysteria please feel free to.
I post once in awhile on the other teams, but there is so much on them, I just enjoy reading about all them collectively 'squirming' and 'full blown major depression' about the greatest team ever assembled. lol.
They do have some questions to answer this offseason, do they sign papsmear? he's a fa, same with the ped/hgh stupid chinstrap bearded mumza big ploppi. He was crying to the press at the end of 2010 and during this year about a multi year contract. f'n drama queens all of them.
When a player leaves they throw him under the bus, same with manny, damon, boggs, and nomar.
