7-5

Detroit dominated other areas to make it happen though. It says something that despite terrible turnover 4 of the last 5, they are 2-2 and really could have been 4-0 in those games. That is why I think the coaches should get more credit than they do. The coaches don't cause these turnovers. They are doing something right, mainly moving the ball on offense really well with points when not turning it over, great run defense (so much for the wide 9 as a problem it was Spievey,Delmas hurt, Avril and KVB), more hit than miss coverage (but too many big plays) and good special teams punting, coverage and some returns.

I hope the fake field goal does not haunt us...

If Lions finish 2-2 and the Pack finish 4-0 or the Bears 4-1 then the other teams deserve it over the Lions. But right now the Lions deserve it for going 4-1 in the division sweeping the Bears (healthier Week 4) and the beat down of GB (healthy D still had Nelson and Jones and Lacy). All they had to do was beat the Lions but the Lions have won 4 out of 5 against the teams vying for the North. GB/Chi has gotten plenty of wins in the past over Detroit when Detroit was missing very important people, Stafford, Best, Delmas,Calvin (this year).

Lions need to go 3-1 to really shut people up but I'll take 2-2 with 1 Packer loss and 2 Bears losses to end the season. And once the Lions are in, if they don't turn the ball over, look out.

I have to say, I don't think Rodgers would have made a difference. The lions dominated the packers in every facet, about as dominating a performance as you can get in the NFL.

Also, Ansah made a big difference. What a difference an excellent Martin Mayhew draft class can make. Difference makers picked up from top to bottom of this draft. This is the type of draft that defines a GM's career.

if the Lions didnt have this god damn TO problem i think they'd be 10-2 or 9-3

i've never played at any level, but i assume some of u may have. What kind of drills are there in practice that help with fumbles and INTs?

For INT there is the "throw it out of bounds" practice. Or the updated "throw it to the RB who is wide open in the flat" practice.

Fumbles - hold the rock high and tight ...pretty simple.

Int - be smart with the football ;)

Only thing I can think of is when Tiki Barber had his fumble problems he went with the high and tight instead of holding it by his stomach he held it around the chest plate of his shoulder pads and that helped.

Carolina is smoking TB. Yeah we have a chance against them :hehe:

This cannot happen..GB and Chi play the final game of the year.

To be fair, I believe this was posted before Chicago lost, making the situation entirely possible.

ive seen plenty of high and tight balls gets knocked out. Bushs fumble was high and tight last week. Don't be a puss and let someone knock the ball out is what it comes down to lol.

Do what bill belick did with ridley. Benched him for yesterdays game for fumbling. Dude was walking the sidelines in street clothes holding onto a football for dear life

He's a young cat. I could see Detroit going more with Bell during a game but benching Bush makes no sense. And ayer his last fumble he had a monster game. Plus I doubt if Brady threw an int. 3 games ina row I doubt Belickec benches him.

You can't replace brady. Ne has vereen and blount....if you can't hold onto the ball you'll be inactive. Good coaching.

It seemed to me that after the fumble Thurs that Reggie ran angry. He played like he had a point to prove and he proved it. You cant bench Reggie as much as it seemed like a good idea. He brings something to the offense no one can. Both he and Staff need to take care of the ball but they also need to do it while playing.

Benching Bush would be stupid.

Shocking that YOU think it's a good idea.

Look at Adrian Petersons 2nd year......guess he should be out of the league right? 9 fumbles!

9! And 19 in his first 3 years.

Unless the player is doing something illegal outside of football or publicly fighting with the coaches......talent is gonna play in the NFL.

When the hell did I say it'd be good to bench Bush? I said it was an easy decision to bench ridley when they have vereen and blount. How that relates to bush I have no idea.
