People are fed up with Big Business, all the tax loopholes, and everything going on with prices for 'everything' going up, while losing any kind of job security, companies leaving to go to a third world country and losing jobs,

This 99% sort of reminds me of the 'people' getting tired of and taking to the streets to "Stop the War" / the Vietnam War, before that equal rights for everyone with MLK, Womens Rights, the 1968 Democratic Convention.
I think it will get worse with more people arrested, and physically hurt before it gets better, as those past problems on the minds of most people.
Looks like the next 'people's revolution'.

It's not so much the disparity in income that is the problem, as much as it is the fact that much of that income was ill-gotten, or secured through excessive lobbying and bailouts that unwealthy or unconnected citizens would not have had access to.

It's kinda similar to pro athletes: if an athlete is putting meat in the seats, he's worth it, right? The fans' ire should be directed at the scumbags raising the ticket prices and gouging them with 150% markups on beer, less so than the guy in the field, or on the court.

The Occupy Wall Street movement consists of a bunch of unemployed history majored college graduates, hippies, and socialists looking for government handouts, income redistribution, and forgiveness of their personal debts. They are putting the blame on capitalism! Instead the Tea Party has it right, the blame is on big government! The Tea Party wants spending cuts to reduce the national debt, reduction in foreign aid, and protection of our borders and resources from illegal immigrants that take advantage of our stupidity and receive government aid!

I busted my ass off from the age of 15 washing dishes and waiting tables. I was able to save $15k for my college tuition. I was awarded a scholarship that paid for my first year tuition, and now I have student loans paying for rest. My parents are far from the top 1% and couldn't afford to pay for my college education. Next December I will graduate (once again) with a Master's degree in Accounting from a top 20 business school and my loans will be repaid within two years because I chose to obtain a REAL degree, not a psychology, history, or communications degree. I apologize President Obama, I will repay my student loans and I don't feel any self-entitlement. I have the drive to be in the 1%.

This 99% believes the rich doesn't pair their "fair share" and believes big corporations such as Exxon don't pay any taxes (LMAO) when they pay billions! Seriously, they need to learn some tax.

I'm sure the retired people protesting and the current and former military men and women would love to hear your view on this. Oh, and even some people IN the top 1% are protesting. I'm gainfully employed and while I am not able to sit and protest I do keep up with it and agree with the point they are trying to make. It's time for the big banks to pay back their bailout from the government and stop being greedy assholes.

I know three people that were part of the Oakland movement. Two of them are full time employees, the other is a college student that works two part time jobs.

News Flash to idiots that call them all unemployed bums: People have vacation time, personal days, and some (believe it or not) work all day and join in late afternoon or early evening.

See, that is where you are wrong. I have the drive to be in that 1%, I study hard and set my goals high. That's how you have to be to if you want to get in that 1% if you aren't an athlete, celebrity, etc. I may never get there, but I have the motivation to be. Fortune comes through hard work. I've studied economics, some finance, and of course tax (ohhh the US tax code, haha!) so I like to believe I know some things.

I can post plenty of videos of protesters who don't have a clear message. Yes, some do, but not most. If you didn't care about the celebrities you wouldn't have mentioned them.

If I am ignorant why would I support Ron Paul, who wants to abolish Sarbanes-Oxley? SoX employs TONS of accountants (and yes I'm an ACC graduate student), but it has had a negative effect on U.S. businesses. It's giving us a disadvantage with the rest of the world.

The OWS protesters are blaming Wall Street when it was the Federal government who gave them BILLIONS of YOUR MONEY AND MINE. Many marched right to Rupert Murdoch's apartment while ignoring George Soros. I don't see how that makes any sense.

On the former military note, I agree our country treats our veterans like shit. That has to change. Period. Let's balance the budget and do something about it.
