Adoree Jackson vs jabrill peppers

Are they really drafting the wrong guys though? Or do we just lack the coaching/preparation to really have them perform at a high level? Why did Larry Warford go from a pro-bowl caliber player, to just another guy overnight for example?

Great question. Think it's one of those things that go hand in hand.

Happiest Guy.. Cliff Avril. His life got a lot better when he went to Seattle.

Bob, the problem is they have been trying to fix the offensive line through high picks in the draft lately and because the organization is so clueless, they draft the wrong guys.

I still can't believe Tomlinson was a 1st rounder. He looks like he could have been picked up in free agency.

I guess we have to hope Quinn is better then the other guys.

Do linebackers return kicks and punts in the NFL? Or maybe he plays S in the NFL.

I think he is most definitely a strong safety. He will have to learn pass coverage. He just had to figure out technique as he is clearly athletic enough to do it.

Assuming were heading for another top 15 pick and have an obvious need in the secondary. Who ya got?

Give me Peppers all day. He does everything and can play multiple positions and STs. The kid is a hybrid like Buchanon from the Cardinals but probably better at this point. At least from a college perspective. The ceiling on Peppers is sky high....he could go top 5 in the 2017 draft. He's that good.

He's a very, very special player. But here's the problem: The Lions are incredibly weak in the coverage game. He's not that good in coverage. Kickoffs and punt returns seem almost non-existent in today's NFL with the rules and the quality of the punts/speed of the athletes.

Pepers is a play maker. He can get to the qb and he can play the run. We are going to be picking anywhere between 10-20. If he is there I would have no problem with us taking him.

Ill be fair....when ive seen him get toasted its usually the scheme. They ask him to do too much. He'll be in the box....back out....then be responsible for the middle deep part of the field and catch up to a guy on the opposite side of the field running a deep post route???? Never going to happen.....i dont care if your fucking charles woodson....isnt going to happen. Hes a presence and a playmaker....much more so than the secondary we have now that makes no plays ever. Slay can cover well....hes by no means a ballhawk. Quin will have the responsible for my half pick over the top a couple times a year. Other than that everyone else is a step late and a dollar short. We need playmakers on defense....hes one of the best. That said hes probably a safety more than a corner....so hed have to be right for your system. When i watch Austins system....it just loks like he doesnt have one. So i have no freaking idea if Jabrill would "work" here or not.

I'm definitely not going to be upset if he's available and that's the pick.

Peppers would fit in any scheme you put him in. Period.

Theft if he's there between 10 and 20.

People that don't want to take Peppers because 'he can't cover' probably didn't want Tyrann Mathieu either. And Peppers is on track to be bigger and more explosive than him.
