AL Central Watch

I'll be rolling out the AL playoff thread at some point today

Looking like a two team race in the Central. Wild Card is still anybody's to have.

Updated

Who's owned who in the AL Central this year
Chicago over Cleveland 8-4
Chicago over Minnesota 9-3
Detroit over Chicago 7-4
Detroit over KC 7-1
Cleveland over Detroit 7-2
Minnesota over KC 8-4
KC over Cleveland 7-5

Updated

Tigers move to 1.5 back.

Minnesota has a chance to complete a 4-game sweep of the Red Sox tomorrow.

Cleveland and KC still suck.

Updated

Still waiting on the conclusion of Texas-KC (as if it matters)

Detroit stays 1.5 back

Chicago gets KC tomorrow, while we get the Yankees.

The Tigers now have the best record against the AL Central

Tigers 24-16
White Sox 24-17
Twins 20-21
Indians 19-25 (They were 19-16 on July 26th)
KC 15-23

Chicago has a habit this season of playing down to their competition. We'll have to see if that holds true this week.

Royals pull a Tigers. No small ball. Can't get runner in from 3rd with no outs...

Gordon Bended Like Beckham goes yard...Sux lead 3-2 in 8th.

US Cellular is a bandbox...

Updated

Not much changed with the losses

Cleveland finally wins

The Tigers' record this year at the 112 game mark is identical to last year at the same point. 60-52.

Sept. 2 is when they went on the 12-win divisional rampage that basically locked it up.

Still got a lot of baseball left.
