Al Kaline stretching during his '74 All Star game at bat. During the AB Curt Gowdy said if Al did not get the 58 hits needed hit for 3,000 in 1974, Al would play in 1975. If Al had played in 1975 he would have reached 400 homers, 500 Doubles, 1000 Extra Base Hits, 1600 RBI, and 5000 Total Bases.
