Al Kaline 12/19/1934 - 04/06/2020 RIP#6

A long interview with Al Kaline here. Enjoy. Al "Mr. Tiger" Kaline. 55 minutes.
Al Kaline still works for the Detroit Tigers...which means he has spent 7 decades with the team that has proudly worn the Old English D since 1901. His talent surpassed only by his grace. And class. An All American tale of the boy who dreamed it..then lived it.

In December 1959: Although Al Kaline was defeated by Hank Aaron 5 to 1 in Home Run Derby, Al walked away with a whopping $1,000 consolation check, not an insignificant sum then, since Al's salary was $31,000 in 1959 per season.
