Baseball lost a legend today. Al Kaline passed away and the baseball world and the city of Detroit mourns. He was all that is great about our game. A man beloved by all who knew him. We talked whenever the Sox played in Detroit. Al loved Detroit and his Tigers. What a classy guy.

Heartbreaking.
I post this photo because it means so much to me. I was humbled when I was in Al Kaline’s presence. Yet he was always the one who acted with humility. He was exactly how you dream your heroes should be. Rest easy Mr. Tiger.

I know I haven’t been with the organization long, but you can’t walk 25 feet without seeing something Al Kaline related around the clubhouse/stadium. It speaks to the legacy the man left behind. Rest In Peace “Mr. Tiger”.
