Albert a Angel

ESPN is gonna love a Weaver/Pujols vs Verlander/Cabrera matchup. Hell, I know I'm gonna love it.

makes more sense thou, being a DH in 5 years.

The Angels line up in getting really good. If Trout turns out to be as good as everyone predicts, it will be scary at least for the next few years.

Let the Rangers and Angels battle each other all season long while we battle the White Sox, Twins, Indians and Royals. I like our chances much better than either of their chances of making the post season. I don't think there is any chance any wild card spots come out of the Central.

I for one was hoping to see Albert stay in the NL and not sign with the Angels especially considering the pitching they already have on that team. I just hope now Texas don't make the "counter" move and sign Prince because their damn lineup is already nasty as it is.

I must say though 10 for 250-260 as being reported for someone 32 years old already is insane especially given the fact the Angels had NEVER given a player a contract over 90 million.

it puts the Angels "Back in the Saddle Again".

Oh yeah lets not fail to mention the rumblings are now that CJ Wilson is close to signing with the Angels as well now strengthening an already pretty damn nice pitching staff.

I for one hope we make some more moves because as is I don't see us being able to get by Texas or the Angels right now whomever comes outta the west come playoff time.

The moves by the Angels today not only make it a little tougher in the AL but as well might have just cost the Tigers a chance as Cespedes. With the Marlins missing out on Pujols and now Wilson they might have just taken over as the favorites to land the prized Cuban CF. The Tigers do not want to get in a bidding war for Cespedes especially given the fact that Florida was previously mentioned as favorites to land him and seem intent with signing another star and seem to have a lot more payroll flexibility right now then the Tigers.

angels are signing wilson for 5 years 75M.

Ilitch and DD might have to rethink no other 18/20M plus player(s).

I like it. Maybe it helps the Tigers organization to realize they need to spend.

I'm thinking that the Marlin's will snag up Fielder. I have no source for that but just a feeling. Hopefully it will help us avoid a bidding war for Cespedes.

Second half of that contract might really suck for Anaheim...er California...Er Los Angeles...er Los Angeles of Anaheim...

Yeah in a matter of hours the Angels not only spent $250-260M on Albert but then another $77.5M on Wilson. $327.5M million in a matter of an hour on 2 players to add to a team that won 86 games last year.

What is funny in all of this is Moreno just spent more in an hour (327.5M) then what he bought the Angels for in 2003 ($184M)

i hate the angels, whyd they have to go and get both wilson and pujols?

Not to mention their payroll just went from $141,755,666 in 2011 to an estimated 172 million in 2012.
