same here, same goes for Penny, if they ain't gonna use him as a starter, in which I agree, then why have him on the roster, there's 5 relievers in the bullpen better than him.

As short/middle relievers they are better....

But we have no long man, so if Scherzer or Porcello implode early we have Coke and Penny as the only guys who could eat a lot of innings, one R and one L.

Good point, but hopefully we won't need one.

I just don't see any use for Penny or Santo's.. both are a waste of a roster space... Inge should be the emergency catcher.. Hope we don't have to use either of them.. But we may need some speed off the bench... Oh well...

Not disagreeing with you, but who would you prefer over Santos/Penny?

I prefer Penny over Santo's but i like having extra speed for extra innings... Flip a coin in Worth or Rhymes... Santo's is unnecessary..

I would've liked to have seen Below get a spot in the bullpen. Could be a solid situational lefty or a long relief guy. I definitely experience less anxiety when he's in vs when i see Smokey calling for Schlereth...

Inge at 3B, Magglio RF, and Raburn at 2B tonight.
that f'n shinebox better field like mazeroski tonight.

tell me this is a joke, please. damn I hope my handwriting on the wall post don't come true.

Leyland is playing the righty matchups against cc.

I don't like it any more than any of you.

We can only hope the Tigers have a lead by the 6th and he puts Dirks and Santiago out there at rf and 2b.

Penny is a vet who has pitched good at times in the playoffs so I don't have a huge problem with him. I don't like Perry. He sstunk most of the year, went down twice and the last time he came back up had a decent out or two but for the most part, I don't understand

Mitch[/color]]I'll take Betemit over Inge, any day against any pitcher.

me too, only reason to have Inge play is a defensive replacement late in the game.

Leyland makes it official: Porcello will start Game 4.
Penny will pitch long relief.

I know, I know, lol.
This was what I thought would be the plan for the two of them.
