Zingerman's Roadhouse if you dig BBQ! Amazing pulled pork sandwiches.

I absolutely hated this restaurant. It was packed. The service was really slow. It was really expensive and the food wasn't all that great, either.

I agree. My dad loves that place though. I've had to veto it a number of times.

i don't know what it is about the food there, but it just never tastes very good to me.

unlike others i am not fond of a2 restaurants thinke they are a bit overrated

but it is change from where you are

Ha, ha, possibly so, whenever I come home to Ann Arbor it's never to indulge in the fine cuisine.

I like to go to places I have a connection to from my youth, and my college days.

yeah, for me: bell's, pizza house, & Mr. Spots.

in terms of "finer" dining: Palio's on main st. The Earl was solid.

The Jolly Pumpkin is great too. I ate there last year. I think it only opened in '09-'10.

i haven't tried The Ravens Club yet

for very high end i like West End Grill but mucho $$$$$$$ - too bad Eve closed
i also do the Earle and i Like Gratzi

My sis and I loved Gratzi and Carson's. I'm writing down the other suggestions for next year..... :)

Lots of good ideas mentioned here....I do find the need to say that the Webber's Inn Sunday Brunch just may be one of the best $10 ish brunches I have ever had.

Alright, just got back. So many decisions and I forgot how much I liked walking around the downtown area. Me and the wifey decided on the Melting pot. I had never had a Fondue dinner before, pretty cool. It took a long time going through four courses but we did and were able to finish it with some of the best chocolate I have ever had. I have to give thumbs up, a little pricey, but something different. Funny thing is, while we were there we found out there was a Melting Pot in Toledo and never knew it.

Thanks again for all the help. Next time I'm in town we are checking out Zimmermans, they were REAL busy. We had a good time though and enjoyed our evening.

I'm glad you enjoyed your evening. The Melting Pot is a chain, though, so next time try something that isn't! :)

Yeah, found that out when we got in there, never heard of it before. I must not get out enough, lol.

Now you have a whole list of places to go that aren't chains ;-) Have fun sampling all the good food of A2!!
