Another 49er retires

Usually if it's a coach or organization they ask for a trade. They don't just retire or semi-retire. They don't leave money on the table, at 24-25, because of a coach. It makes no sense..

This is very strange. It almost seems like they know something in SF that others may not yet know.

I don't see it as bad. One guy was 35..even Willis was 30, after an injury. Barry was gone by then. And the last guy didn't sound like he was officially retiring. Just wanted time off to heal..Just a coincidence.

It's very probable to be honest. Maybe the first retirement or two got the next guy thinking or something.

That organization is a train wreck. Something is definitely going on in SF. Harbaugh bolting, players leaving and now talks of trading Kaepernick = GONGSHOW

I haven't heard that they were looking to trade him

I have heard it, but I don't think the rumors are coming from the San Fran offices.

Just lots of media guys speculating on how bad their season could be in the wake of all the losses in retirement and free agency, change in head coaching, etc... and wondering if they can sell high on Kap.

I don't think they can when scouts were commenting last season they would rather have Derek Carr over Colin Kaepernick. 31 out of 32 head scouts polled agreed, and the 1 who didn't was San Fran's head scout. Go figure.

Every year there is some superstar guy the media decides to look at and speculate if it would be smart to trade him. Doesn't mean his team is actually looking into it.
