Suh has not officially signed with the Dolphins yet.

Probably Miami telling him to wait a few hours to make it look like they still had major details to iron out... but with the word coming that Miami is "nervous" about the NFL's investigation, it makes you wonder if they aren't backpedaling?

Also makes you wonder what they expect the NFL to do that would actually make them nervous? Big old fine? Who cares? Lose a mid round pick? Whatever.

What do they honestly expect the NFL to do.

Maybe the NFL gave them an ultimatum.. SUH but lose first and third picks or no Suh..

It's highly possible. Thats the normal punishment for tampering.

Plus, it's Miami, and everyone knows Goodell will suck the chrome of a trailer hitch to make Kraft happy, so hurting Miami might be the real goal here.

The Dolphins just released two guys. Speculation is that it related to the Suh signing.

The NFL sent memos to several teams Tuesday, telling them to hold on to their phone records because the league will be investigating agreements teams reached with players during the three-day negotiating period, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The news comes a day after the NFL sent letters to all 32 teams, stating its displeasure with the release of contract terms before free agency officially began at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday.

"The memo makes clear that we will look into any potential violations of the rules," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday.

The last sentence of the letter reads: "At this time, the league office is beginning investigations into a number of reported agreements with clubs. Violations will be dealt with accordingly."

This is going to turn into an episode of the "The Wire." GMs walking around with TracFones dropping them into a trash can at Arby's when their negotiations are complete.

Dolphins have released half their team lol.

Just to have space for Suh.

Hard for a TEAM to win when 1 guy is that selfish and management bends over for him.

There's a ton of hype saying Suh will help them take the next step...they fail to realize it will be a step backwards for the team.

This doesn't make sense. He didn't do anything besides sign a rookie contract. Just restructured a bunch to help the team.

restructuring to help the team and himself. When these guys re-structure they are actually getting their money up front and guaranteeing more of the money (since it is taking future salary and converting it to an upfront bonus)

He got the same amount if he just played his rookie contract and didn't restructure. Just got more up front a few times. This was the team decision so they could sign more players in 2013/14. Not like suh demanded it because he wanted the money quicker.

I understand that...I was talking more in general terms. When a player restructures and gets his money up front in a bonus that is guaranteed money. If he plays the entire contract out the total money is the same (as with Suh)

Added benefit to restructuring is the investing aspect with the upfront bonus. Contract might be worth the same but a (smart) player would likely make more in the long term.

Probably beyond the point since we're talking contract value, but thought it might be worth pointing out. Restructuring can benefit both sides.

Id look at it as more of an extension.....the 8.5 mil this year is nothing.

If we got that and Ngata, I would say we made out pretty good.

If we landed a 1st and 3rd, and Ngata... I would pee myself with glee.

Not likely to happen, but the Shield seems angry about this one and they seem to be targeting Miami.

My bet is still that they haven't signed the dotted line yet so they can later claim they still had lots of details to work out, because it was just a negotiating summary, not an offer or anything like that.. wink wink.
