If it was going to come down to money alone, he'd be a Lion for the next five years at least. Mayhew will be willing to overpay him and everyone knows it.
Calvin and Stafford, without question, would re-do their deals to make room for a hefty payday upfront with less on the backend more more guaranteed. No question about it.
But it's not just about money. The guy doesn't want to be here.
How do YOU know? I've yet to hear anyone with actual credibility say this. The only people chirping about it are idiots who are using their own opinion or "sources close to" him. I don't trust those sources. He's done nothing to make me think he doesn't want to be here or wants a 20M contract or go to a big market.
