Austin Jackson changing his swing

Lakeland, Fla. -

The chosen one has finally graced the fans with his presence. He's back, he's got stupid new tattoos, and a familiar piss poor attitude. Brandon Inge is sticking to his approach and making no adjustments.

"You can't argue with my success," says Inge. "I'm a power hitter with tremendous career numbers. I decided not to show off those skills last season because I knew Fielder was coming in this year, and I didn't want to take away his spotlight."

When Ajax went on that tear like a month before the season was over our offense was leaps and bounds better. Hopefully whatever changes he makes helps....having a lead off guy that actually gets on base would be a nice change for 2012.

Yeah, he had that one good month. A shorten swing can only help. Nice one King, lol.

Yeah, it is crazy how good we looked when AJax was hitting. Everything just flows, especially when you have Miggy coming up to bat and actually have men on base.

Then the playoffs started and he reverted back to the k-machine he was all season.

they should bat him 9th all thru spring training, just to let him know, out the door and to the minors is next, unless he gets his shit together.

I don't see them using an approach that could do more damage to his confidence than good. Plus we absolutely need him on the field defensively.

Who would replace him in CF fulltime?

I don't think the Tigers are worried about losing someones confidence, by hitting him 9th and he's not the best CF in baseball, sure he covers a lot of ground and does make some nice plays going back on a ball, but he's below average at coming in on a ball.

from what I've seen of him since he's been here, I'm not impressed at him at all.

a little late to replace him now, no one is available, but if he doesn't get his act together by all-star break, they might try and find somebody.

seriously, you guys think he's the future in CF? this year will be his last shot at a being a Tiger. imo unless he starts hitting.

I am all for upgrading CF if we can but i dont think theres much out there we can grab to upgrade CF.

We have no one in the minors who could replace him right so who ever replaces him would have to come from outside the organization.

i wonder whos fa in cf next year.

good question on the F.A. I think they were focusing on getting a 2nd basemen until Martinez got hurt, and then went and got Fielder, not even thinking about a CFer, and was hoping Jackson would improve this year.
