Avril Feels Deal Can Be Done

K. When Calvin is restructured and Williams is cut, there will be salary cap space available.

What's working in Detroit's favor is the fact that the FA market will be even more flooded than last year. Remember when we thought Houston was going to get a 4-5 year deal at $5 million per year? And who would've predicted Tulloch's deal? I wouldn't be surprised to see similar things happen around the league this year. Mayhew will sit back and let the market come down for players.

Lions got lucky on Tulloch...he doesn't fit 80% of the league as a 3 down MLB.

True, but a bunch of players around the league signed short, cheap deals last year.

Some players will get paid, but a bunch of players will have to take one or two year deals. Its not a great year to be a FA.
