I don't mind the move seeing as they don't have many viable options...but they need to start grooming a replacement now.

I like Gilmore the most out of that group I think. Good size, good speed, quick..

Glenn was my guy months ago....gave up on that dream when he knocked it outta the park at the Combines and just as recently as last week when his Pro Day more impressive.

You never know though.. Not many guards go that high. To contradict myself not many guards have had Cordy's skill set. We'll see

You never know though.. Not many guards go that high. To contradict myself not many guards have had Cordy's skill set. We'll see

alot depends on how fast DeCastro gets snapped up...Buffalo , Dallas , Cincy ( 17) , San Diego , Chicago , Tennessee , Cincy (21 ) and Cleveland all could go OLINE before us at #23.

I hope they all pass on Glenn , it should take MM about 15 seconds to get the pick up there.

This is what happens when you have a guy who can't draft in charge for a decade. It would have been great to had a cheaper or younger replacement ready, but we don't. Mayhew has filled as many holes as he could in the draft, and hasn't exactly been a slouch in free agency. But you can't have it all in 3 years, not from where we started. Getting a guy like Glenn (who could play guard or RT) would be great, but it's not like we don't have needs at CB, Safety, and LB either.

Backus has been arguably the best player on our line, including Sims. He's not the best LT out there, but he's consistent and at least adequate. McNeill's spine is fusing together, not ideal for a long term fix. No other quality LTs even showed up. Backus was the best we could do with what we had. We don't know if an OT will be available in the draft, and we couldn't go forward being forced to draft one early regardless of his rating.
