Bandwagon/Real look at AL Central

.

BTW I've had the Tigers picked all along just did not have them running away. With the Spring they have had so far. I'm a thinking get 2 out of 3 from Bosox and then who knows. And should the Tigers do the unthinkable and get get 3 from the Bosox, look out!

Tigers could very well still win 100+ games this coming season, even if they were to lose two out of three or even after being swept. Just as they might win 10 games (more or less) as compared to their '11 season of 95-67 after sweeping the Red Sox. I also don't think that the Tigers will need to equal or surpass the '84 Tigers' legendary 35-5 start to win the World Series this year, although doing so obviously would boost their chances of running away with the division by quite a bit...haha!!

Its sad how this division that was already questionable got worse. Minnesota and Chicago decided to downgrade.... and Cleveland nearly had everything bounce their way last year and still couldnt make the playoffs. KC I think has the best chance to challenge us.

No team in the division has the pitching depth, or the offense that the Tigers have.

Barring injury, we win the division easily, sorry you don't see it that way.

Fister on the DL early. Has the Chisox playing for the Division lead today/Saturday. As of right now Tigers are the team that is hurting in the Pitching Depth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As it only takes one injury to the Tigers front 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this a joke?
You are worried about the Whitesox being the division leaders on April 14th?

I guess since they don't have a 10 game lead already the Tigers are in trouble (yes I know the number of games played this season)

This thread is starting to get epic so I'm going to throw a bunch of these out there..

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

In case I'm not around..

We're not hurting for pitching depth compared to the Sox.

We still have a certified Ace, the back end of our bullpen may be the best in baseball, our 2-4 starters are better than the Sox 1-3.

We beat the Red Sox, and the Rays, took series from them, both playoff caliber teams.

The White Sox lost a series to the Rangers, and took a series from the Indians...a team probably as bad as they are, and got one game from us mostly because of great defense by them, and shitty defense by us.

The White Sox are still not a threat.

Does an off field injury to the head (too much to drink) Have any thing to do with how this team season go? And how about those batting averages for April so far? And the Seattle series was a eye opener. Tigers still have only won one series against a team with a winning record to date!

This Young deal could be a straw. Did not see this one coming.

April 27th, 2011
Detroit Tigers lost to the Seattle mariners 10-1... From April 26the to may 2th the tigers lost 7 in a row... On April 27th 2011 they were 12-12 and 2.5 games back... On May 2nd they had fallen to 12-17 and were 8 games back....Which was there low point of the season... By the end of the year the Tigers were 95-67 and 15 games ahead of the second place team.

I am concerned by the start and the weird feel this team has but i do think we have enough talent to win the division by 7-10 games...

heck on May 27th last year we were still only 25-25....The early roller coaster continued because after the 7 game losing streak we won 10 of 11.

June 16th..38-31.
July 5th.....45-42.
July 29th...56-50.
Aug 23rd...70-58.
Sept 14th..87-62
End ..........95-67

Don't see how Dunn will manage to raise his unprecedented horrific last season's BA above the Mendoza line, and the same goes for Lard and Inge, but they are both now just bench players, who may be playing their final seasons as Tigers, not double-digit, multi-year/million $alaried DHs.

2012 stats CHW GAMES 27,AB 96 ,R 15, HITS 24,D 7,T 0,HRs 8, RBIs 22, BB 19,SO 40, AVG .250,OBP .376, SLG .573, OPS.949

TODAY'S Quote from game thread 5-5-2012 I think it's safe to say Dunn is not going to repeat 2011.

Funny brecause I don't remember the Tigers winning the division in 2010, let alone winning it easily.
