Glad Mayhew didn't let him walk.

Per McClure, Jackson and Cliff Avril, who is now sporting the Lions' franchise tag, "appeared" to be the Bears' top two free agent targets before Monday's March 5 franchise deadline. With Avril staying in Detroit, Chicago may turn its focus directly to Jackson. Jackson would give the Bears the big, red-zone target they've lacked throughout Jay Cutler's stay in the Windy City.

Da Bears better get themselves some offensive lineman if they knew what was good for Cutler.

Yup. No good tackles though in FA though.

Why not trade two draft classes for an average diabetic?

For as much as i hate on Avril i dont think you pull the trigger and trade him interdivision if the bears wanted to trade their first.....u guys?

If they offered two first round picks? Hell yeah!

lol i was assuming no one is that stupid.

If they offered a first you think about it seriously. If they throw in a 3rd aswell it would be awfully hard to turn down. But I really dont want to play against him.

This is exactly what i said to you guys a month ago. He walks, he goes to a rival. I had him going to the Packers but that's beside the point. I'm glad he tagged. Now, you work on a long term deal asap.

he was never going to be allowed to "walk"

he got tagged....but they didnt exclusive rights tag him....personally I hope some GM pops wood for Cliff and sends a pick or 2 our way.

gimme the 10.6 million for Tulloch and a FA CB and a pick or 2 instead of Avril.

youd have to think MM offered all he could....he didnt want to tag him. So at this point youd think youd be tryiing to shop him moreso than getting a deal done and focus on getting deals done with ppl that want to be here.

exactly , or they would have exclusive rights tagged him.

my guess is he told him , go find yourself a deal and get back to me.

According to more than half the guys on here, Avril isn't worth squat. Now we have to "hope" some idiot GM/Owner has a hard on for Cliff and offers us some draft picks? lol. Well, it worked with Jerry Jones, maybe it'll work again....

he's worth a late first or early 2nd.....and almost 11 million to use elsewhere.

but thats just me.....obviously they value him they tagged him , like I said he was never going to be allowed to walk without compensation coming back our way.

IMO we don't lose much with Willie Young a Lo Jack rotating over there.

Agreed 100%. A late first or early 2nd and i'd be happy, maybe throw in a 3rd or a 4th with that 2nd round pick.

I'd be nice to run for 160 yards/game against the Bears.

But NO, I wouldn't trade him in the division.

We did that last year. Remember?

We ran for 130/game last year against Chi.

I figure Clavin is good for an extra 30 yds/game!
