Its called playing a guy going good until he's not going good. Geez Thumb, no one is saying he's the next Rickey Henderson. But when you have a dude batting .148 after 130 PA and another, Kelly, batting less than .200 you try another option.

Get StartedHuh, he's hitting .381 and without those 2 hits he'd still be at .285. His .458 OB% is a good sign. I don't think anyone expects him to keep it up, but he's been a good spark and who knows, he could be one of those players that just gets it once he hits the Bigs and has a productive career. His speed and fielding is exactly what we need as long as he can continue to get on base.

Right now, I'd give him a roster spot over any of Raburn, Kelly, Santiago, Worth, or Young.Well as of today he deserves a roster spot over at least one other guy, and maybe two... No one is claiming we found the next Rickey Henderson we all just wanted the tiger organization to try something different with certain players who do not deserves at bats in a MLB uniform right now. .. To bad it took a injury to force the tigers hand...

I agree as of right now...Yup...
That's just silly
What the order is spot on... Raburn, Kelly, ext, ect....
That's just silly
Delmon is absolute trash in the field, and he's slow on the bases. We're using him as a DH and he's not even good at that. He does hit alright and has some pop, but what do we do with him when VMart is back in a couple months?
I would keep Berry in the leadoff and possibly put Jackson in the 5th or 6th spot and see how that goes. That speed is a problem for anyone when Berry gets on. Jackson seems hesitant to steal 2nd. I would also then move Berry to LF, Dirks to RF, and Brandon to DH.
I have no problem with Berry staying with the team after Ajax comes back, send Worth back down, he's redundant anyways.
Berry makes a nice defensive/platoon/pinch runner, but other than that he's limited in value over someone like Kelly, who cant hit a lick, but can play almost every defensive position.
And like I mentioned, it's too early to tell if he will be able to stay for long, and it might be better overall to send him down and let him play everyday, then maybe call him up if we manage to trade Young.
Agree with sending Worth down, but it would be beneficial to send Raburn down to AAA to get his head right.
That's why you aren't a manager.
And what is exactly wrong with that idea? As long as Berry gets on why not have him batting leadoff? With that speed at first it equates more fastballs for 2 hole and 3 hole.
