Bill Maher mocks Tim Tebow

I just thought the skit was funny.. No one has a sense of humor anymore in this world...

When SNL mocks the Muslim Brotherhood, I'll assume they are acting in the same good faith that they are when they mock Christianity, which is nothing new anyway.

A Liberal show with a voice on at 11:30 on a Saturday night... I guess conservatives want to hush everyone.. Oh well..

I never said anything of the skit. Just that Atheists talk about God quite a bit. Is it always Liberal-Conserative with you?

i can't stand the hype with Tebow. it's annoying. this guy had the luckiest win streak ever and ESPN acts like he will be a perennial probowler

he is easily the most overrated player i've ever seen

Seriously you expect me to believe that.. Your digs maybe be subtle sometimes but they are there never the less. Ok.. You win...

I agree. With you.. Lions crush the chargers for their first playoff birth in 12 years and they were like the 10th story after you know who and the Giants/cowboys..

If Tebow was the exact same guy he was today...everything was the same...his past, his looks, his upbeat personality, his football skills....but he said "praise to Allah" instead of "praise be to God" these same Christians would absolutely freak out about the guy.

That's my problem with the people that support him because he's Christian. Everything about the guy could be the exact same but if he was Muslim, those same people would not support him at all.

The opposite of liking (or loving Tebow) is being indifferent to him. That is what I want to do, since I just mainly don't care that much about him, or his annoying habit of publicly expressing what he considers to be his superior morals, faith and beliefs onto those who may or may not share or agree with him or them, and esp.since he isn't affecting me, even indirectly as a Congressional politician (at least not as yet, anyway)

The fawning over Tebow by many in the sports MSM is mostly b/c they know damned well that by doing so online, it attracts and results in more page hits, which in turn, generates more ad-revenue, so they will continue to milk the controversial Tebow cow dry, or at least until he inevitably goes back to being a clipboard-carrying backup or is out of the NFL entirely.

I meant exactly what I said. Go believing what you want then. I seldom talk politics so why would I have a dig. Maybe you're the one that needs to loosen up.

And were he Muslim, his detractors would not feel the same, either. They would likely celebrate his "diverseness."

ESPN's Sunday Countdown is running a promo on how Tebow has inspired a young cancer patient.

Heaven forbid that some Good News be expressed in the media.

He's not overrated; quite the opposite. I think that the primary question "How is this guy getting the job done with such marginal skills?"

I see ESPN run heart warming stories about players all of the time. I've just never seen them run a promo about it before. Maybe they have.

They're milking the shit out of this guy for everything it's worth. And honestly, what the media really wants to see happen is for him to get caught in some type of major scandal. That's what they like to do....build you up to new heights so your fall is that much farther. I really hope Tebow never screws up badly because the criticism will be relentless.
