Bill Maher mocks Tim Tebow

Heaven forbid that some Good News be expressed in the media.

I see ESPN run heart warming stories about players all of the time. I've just never seen them run a promo about it before. Maybe they have.

They're milking the shit out of this guy for everything it's worth. And honestly, what the media really wants to see happen is for him to get caught in some type of major scandal. That's what they like to do....build you up to new heights so your fall is that much farther. I really hope Tebow never screws up badly because the criticism will be relentless.

ESPN is all about focusing on the athlete-celebrity that its audience wants to see. The celeb-du-jour is Tebow. It was LeBron, but he's old news now. Next year it will be someone else.

i can't stand the hype with Tebow. it's annoying. this guy had the luckiest win streak ever and ESPN acts like he will be a perennial probowler

he is easily the most overrated player i've ever seen

He's not overrated; quite the opposite. I think that the primary question "How is this guy getting the job done with such marginal skills?"

Defense? Running game? Defense? And you could add more, like the K hitting a 59 yarder. Or M. Barber who ran out of bounds and then fumbled. Luck?

I'm not asking the question: I'm posing the questions that is being asked by others.

You mean "how's he doing it with marginal skills"? I already said, defense running game and luck. Tebow is not winning games for them. 4th quarter heroics happen because he sucks for much of the game.

If Tebow doesn't win that locker room will turn on him quickly. No one wants to hear someone being ultra positive if they continue to lose. "We'll get them next time" won't work week after week if he doesn't play well and they lose. Tebow is completing 48.2% of his passes this year (only 49.7% in their wins). That just can't continue.

I see a Scott Mitchell moment in his future. After Mitchell threw that OT pick 6 against Cincinatti he tried apologizing to everyone in the locker room and some of the players lost it on him.

Elway almost has to be hoping KC beats them on Sunday and Tebow plays poorly.

I vividly remember watching that game, on Scott's first int, the camera then immediately panned on the Lions HC Bobby Ross, who turned a deep shade of beet-red and shook his clenched fist and arm repeatedly in anger, while Mitchell slunk back to the sideline, as far away from Ross as he could possibly get..haha!! That was to become the very last game Mitchell ever played in as QB for the team.

Most anyone that is a football fan thought the same thing as maher after tebows 2 consecutive pick 6's. jesus pimp slapped tebow...."this is my day biatch"

His DEFENSE is playing a huge part in it. They get completely overlooked.

giving up 25.5 points per game , 362 yds per game , rankd 20th or lower vs the pass and the run...

easy to overlook them....

During the Tebow comeback wins? I bet they're different. The D kept that team in games during Tebow's run, no?

will they make a big stop in the 4th quarter...probably.

but their D leaks like a sieve.

other teams shooting themselves in the foot also contributed to a couple of those "Tebow" comebacks.

True that....

Just sick of seeing how they treat Tebow like the prodigal son...it's pathetic. The NFL Network is the worst at it. First, there was "Does Tebow deserve MVP honors?" I vomited at that one. Then now all the rage is "Does Tebow belong in the Probowl?" It's beyond sickening now. He is NOT a good QB and NOT a legitimate starter in the NFL. The Patriots proved that last week and their defense is putrid.

The defense played better during that 6 win stretch they had.

213.3 pass yds per game
131.7 rush yds per game
15.7 points allowed per game
9 turnovers

ya they kept teams out of the end zone and got turnovers....yds per game was still pretty high....Tebow turning it over the last few weeks has put them in some bad spots also.

don't mind their D , they have some talent....

I'll take Newton over Tebow....100 out of 100 times.

Wouldn't even think twice about it. Newton for fun. Also, i'd take Dalton over Tebow everytime.
