Bounty program? That's shady...

The part about this story I hate is how the media is portraying them as dirty players who did dirty hits.....dude this game is on national television and weve never heard anything about new orleans being dirty before. What dirty hits are they referring to? If they were dirty they would have been penalized and fined....I could be wrong here but I thought new orleans was one of the least penalized teams in the league. This should be a small story that once again was overblown by the media imo and what they are saying about the team doesnt translate to when ive watched them. Paying to injure people in theory is wrong...I get it. But, dont start labeling players and the team as a dirty team....cause its plain bs.

Will Smith is known as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL.

Look for this to get even more ugly. How many players have now come forth on Twitter (gotta luv dumbasses who think they can Tweet without consequences)? Steelers, Broncos, and other players past and present coming out and saying they knew of bounties and never had an issue with it. Why not just give specific names and amounts at that point?

Then the one guy who says some players almost doubled their pay from bounties. If I'm with the IRS, I'm instantly launching an investigation into tax fraud!

In the Navy, there is a saying, "Loose lips sink ships!" and the NFL is getting torpedoed by these guys. LMFAO. And no, I would not be surprised to hear the Lions have a similar bounty program in place based on the way the D plays.

As for the Saints, I agree this will have an impact on the number of penalties and calls that go their way. The last thing the NFL wants is for a coach / team that supported bounties and got caught (not saying the NFL cares about bounties, just don't get caught IMO) to win the Super Bowl. Saints have overnight become one of the most hated teams in the NFL until this blows over and is replaced with a scandal or problem elsewhere. The media LOVES this type of press and will not let it go anytime soon. The media took down Paterno, they'll take out anyone they can to make money.

Rich what? Richmond![/color]]Uh oh, now they are looking into the Redskins when Greg Williams coached there. Specifically the game where Peyton Manning hurt his neck. Queue the music

Dungy has his own personal forum on the Dan Patrick Show. He let that one out of the bag today. But...it's the only time he's going to talk about it. What a f'n bitch.

Now Brees is super-pissed about being given the F-tag, nice off-season ya'll got goin' ahn dahn dere, New Awlins...

Hooo Dat?

Haha!!

:)

Report: Brees livid about being tagged, won't sign tag offer

Suh's stomp that really wasn't more forceful than stepping on a downed player will have mostly faded from the fans' eye, if not be mostly forgotten in the wake of the mounting publicity, likely harsh punishment and football fans' increasing dislike for the Saints, most likely.

i like how whenever they start to talk about the "Bounty Scandal" they show like 30 plays....none of them seem dirty, are illegal, or drew a flag.

And why the fuck has Brett Favre took a 180 on this story? The first day he was asked about it he basically said ....its football....they pay players to hit me. And now hes all....something was different...they were definitely comming after me in a manner that wasnt right. wah wah wahhhh.

You have to look at this bounty thing in the eyes of a Commish. What is he suppose to do? 'I know it happens so let's keep at it"?

Steve Young just called football a gentleman's game.. These damn QB's are out of control.

I don't mind the bounty if it is run by the player and they are putting their money in the pool for biggest hit, interception or forced fumble. But when the coaches are running it and it is for player X being knocked out of the game, that is where it crosses the line.
