Braun wins appeal of doping case on technicality
He got caught and was exonerated because OF.A.TECHNICALLITY.

i said the same thing when this happened, but I don't see why the guy would need to take a steroid. He had been a great player (and still young) in his first four years in baseball. I don't know what happened with his test, but he didn't pull a barry bonds.

[/quote:wmlxfcb8]

You say he's no Bonds but Bonds didn't need to take them either. Or Clemens or a slew of other great players. He cheated and got away with it.

Clemens needed them because he was old. Bonds didnt need them, but his numbers went through the roof when he did.

Sure but he didn't need them, Bonds. And who is to say Braun wasn't taking them since he was a rookie?

Monster ]If the MLB wants to do it right, they need to have the players go directly to the lab and do the sample there. Not sure if there's only one lab that MLB uses or not, but they should have one near every MLB city.

I don't know if the dude is guilty or not either, but I just don't see a reason why the guy would need steroids. Unless, he's been successfully fooling the tests since he got into baseball...which is unlikely...IMO.

Dunno if MLB does this already or not but there should be at least two additional occasions when a urine sample must be provided by the managers, coaches, and players @ any time during the season. They should all never know when they might have to piss, like they do now after the preseason and after the regular season. (only women and children "pee" IMO).

But then perhaps we fans are having the wool pulled over our eyes all along, as MLB might lose north of 75% of all players to positives, IF they were to do the testing properly. Who in unbiased authority monitors the players, when they must provide a sample? Why doesn't MLB require the players to travel to the independent testing labs? Why was this particular positive test result leaked to ESPN? Was someone who was deeply involved tired of playing along with the "farce", or became dissatisfied with his or her type or amount of payoff to keep silent?

???

^^^

This, you're assuming because he never got caught before that he was clean the whole time.

And as far as his numbers remaining consistent, for all we know he could have been doping since the minors, passing a PED test does not mean a player did not use them, it just means none were in his system when he was tested.

I've said for years that Gene Lamont is on the juice. It's about time someone called for testing managers and coaches too.

Well I can see Lamont being on the juice, if by juice you mean the stuff left over in the bottom of the roaster when you bake a ham.

I'm betting he does that stuff like shots.

Haha...didn't mean that MLB needs to test them for PEDs, but instead for the "recreational" kind.

Baking a ham in a toaster, can that be done?

Edit: Ah, you said Roaster, lol.

Actual picture of Ron Washington running down the signs. No way he's on drugs... I simply refuse to believe it.

what they need to do is retest him, take 2 samples and test one right away and then take the other sample and have it sit out or put in a refrigerator for 2 days, just to see if reads differently.

Monster ]actually, after listening to him...i believe him. He's passed all of his previous tests and 2011 wasn't much different from any of his other years. The main reason he won mvp is because the brewers were good. He had the same numbers as his first 4 years in the league.

And for the record, I've NEVER changed my opinion on these roid heads after listening to their speech. He seemed genuine and if you look at his numbers....they just don't look suspicious.

You have to be a fool to get caught using HGH.

You can take it the night after a game and cycle it out of your system by the time you arrive at the ballpark the next day.

That was my first take. You mean to say that there's some rule that says only one test? Even if "botched?" Looks like a true OJ defense: if the 'sampler handler' loses it....(the pee)....you must acquit!

Sorry
