Brees on Lombardi and the Lions offense

Seattle used 1sts on trades. Harvin didn't last. 2nd on Richardson, 2nd on Carmichael.

They are just riding the Lynch wave and have a defense. Wilson is garbage who can run a little.

Wilson has only been in the league 3 years and is already a better QB than Stafford. Better comp %, better YPA, better TD/INT ratio, better QBR, better runner.

Wilson has not been better. Not on the game tape.

Wilson lived off defense, turnovers and run game. He can't lead an offense himself.

Stafford is Detroit's offense and a huge reason we win games.

Wilson's career numbers

63.4 comp%, 7.95 YPA, 0.58 TD/Attempt, 0.02 INT / attempt, 98.6 QBR

Stafford

59.6 comp%, 7.01 YPA, 0.42 TD/A., 0.027 INT/A, 83.6 career QBR

Wilson's career QBR is better than Stafford's BEST season!

i'm not going to argue QB1 vs QB2, but you don't think that Wilson's numbers are a product of the system he's in? would he have the same numbers on a team that relies on throwing it more, without a #1 defense?

YPA, TD/A, Int/A...these are not products of a "system". Completion % can be. The others? Highly unlikely. The guy throws an amazing deep ball and can run the ball well. He puts up good numbers with a receiving core that is not all that impressive.

The excuses gotta stop.

Game tape and system.

Wilson lives off the run game and defense. He can't lead an offense.

Wilson has a better deep ball, more accurate, moves better, more pocket awareness.
Stafford can throw the ball harder.

Better numbers, and 2 sb appearances. Yep, Staffords much better. You, yourself(LKP) say the Lions defense is on par with Seattle's. Yet Seattle's offense can win in the playoffs and Detroit's cant. What gives?? Lesser receivers in Seattle, and still Seattle consistently wins in the playoffs. What is everybody in the world missing that you are not? My thoughts? Russell Wilson would win here, and it has nothing to do with scheme, and everything to do with how much better Wilson is at avoiding pressure, extending plays, and giving ANY receiver (no matter their skillset) time to get open. I'd take a smart, and mobile qb over whatever Stafford is any day of the week.

Seattle luckily got a home game due to playing in weak NFC West.

Wilson has a run game with Lynch. Stafford didn't get that luxury. Stafford truly beat Dallas as far as I'm concerned and how I have no doubt Detroit would have beaten Seattle.

You mean an NFC West that top to bottom is better than the NFC North? That division?

Delusional but hilarious!

San Fran took a nose dive, Zona missing two QBs, St Louis blows. That division sucks.

Lions may sweep the NFC West next year.

They played AFC West which is way overrated and bad NFC East.

And he's throwing to nobodies.

Yep, he doesn't even need a top receiver to get it done. Lower tier receivers, and still wins superbowls. While Staffords feet are stuck in the mud trying to win a wildcard game.

He only has 450 attempts. Lynch and defense and weak schedule is why they win.

Keep telling yourself that. Weak schedule but they were inches away from beating the pats, whom we got humiliated by.
