Legality of a substance doesn't make it's use at the workplace acceptable.

At our office in Colorado, people can and have been fired for coming to work blazed. Weed is legal in that state, and it is NOT allowed to be used at work or a person be high at work from using it at home.

And yes, you would absolutely know if a person smoked weed before a game, or at the very least have a very strong suspicion.

Yes but team discipline is different than league discipline. Next game your star LB is clean the coach will play him.. All about the wins for them.

Marijuana 100%. If a guy/girl is coming to work and they're tweaked out on crack/coke/meth and their job duties are slipping (and there's a good chance they are) then yes, something needs to be done about it. I know so many people that burn before they go to work or during work and I have NEVER heard of any of them getting disciplined or fucking up on the job because of weed. But if you're doing rails or smoking the devil's dick, you're probably not even going to work in the first place. WEED is harmless....

This is just a big of a hoax as the NCAA trying to pretend that they care about student athletes getting an education. If the NFL really wanted to eliminate drugs users out of their league then half of it would be gone. Bryant was the user they decided to make an example out of to pretend like they give a shit. NCAA athletes graduate at a much higher rate than the traditional student. Doing a quick google search, the best data I could find says that athletes graduate over 80% compared to about 60% for traditional students.

I thought so. You had originally said drug testing but the way the conversation was trending it appeared to be more about bud than more hardcore stuff.

I worked in restaurants when I was in college and if they tested ONLY for marijuana in the kitchen, I'm pretty sure the place would shut down. But those were some of the hardest workers I've ever known. Still friends with a couple of them to this day, good people.
