Thanks Both teams had no legs. Not sure what happened to Tonje. Tired is all I have. I did think UM played hard on defense. Both teams did.

Hell yeah! First time a 1st year coach has won the BTT.

BTT Win moves us into a tie for 4th all time in BTT wins (3). If you count '98, we're tied for 2nd with OSU and UI. MSU has 6.

Those seeds can go one way or another if they really want a match up. Like if they really want to match you guys up with Kansas they'll bend it both ways. I wouldn't be shocked if they're a possible 2nd round match up for you. Maybe a 3/6 match up

They finished pretty rough. Those 3 losses at home the last 2 weeks probably hurt them. Feels like the 1 and 2 seeds were obvious and then the next 20 teams could be in any order.

Yeah that is probably true but it feels like this weekends games mean nothing. I just wish they had put msu and um in different regions.
They did beat Purdue and Wisconsin twice. You’re probably right i just wish we had an extra day of rest.

If Cason doesn’t hit those 2 threes when the Badgers had stretched the lead out to 8 to 11 ish we would have been toast. Showed we could finally hit a damn shot. Still after his second they did push the lead back out to eleven 38-27 at the 13:26 mark. Will T. Nails a three to cut it to 8. Cason energy was huge because Tre was invisible until later in the half.

I get that they would weight late season performances more than early season performances, if indeed it was those three late losses that dinged us, but you're right: what the hell does the BTT matter for then? At best, it's only a vehicle for a bubble team to play in if they get a big upset, or a hopeless case to make it by somehow winning it all. If you're an at-large bid, the committee apparently locks you in the week before.

But whatever, at least as a 5, we don't play a 1 or 2 for a couple rounds.

I feel like the Big Ten is sorely under-seeded this season, which could be a good thing for all of us.

And I kinda like that MSU is in the same bracket... I didn't have high expectations prior to the season, and they exceeded what I thought possible, so this is pretty cool. Will be a good game to look forward to watching. I don't think we've ever met in the tourney, right? At least not in the 64 team era, if ever.
