Call Out Some Players

Well 0-2 is a terrible start. It's not a lost cause due to 2 road games. 8-0 or 7-1 home and 4-4 road still very possible.

But let's call out some players that underperformed.

Mathis,Ihedigbo and Tulloch Week 1. They rebounded nicely in Week 2.

Walker, Cudjo and Wright in Week 2. Jones pass rush Week 2. Will be good to get Reid back for less Cudjo and Wright.

Swanson,Reiff (pass pro not run blocking),Warford (Week 2) and Lucas. What the hell are they doing?

Bell looks slow as shit after these surgeries too.

Stafford has been pressured way too much. 10/32 under pressure. The pick against Minnesota was bad though.

Ngata has been solid but needs to do more.

Let's get some home games and get through the tough part of the schedule at 3-2 or 2-3 hopefully. It's not over yet

Let's call out Mayhew. What do you expect from 30 year old + vets and a handful of UDFA. Poor drafts and cap management leads to signing these aging vets and uncovering FA and UDFA gems. Not how winning teams are built. This is not a winning team. If you want to call out a player that isn't leading up to his draft position - Reiff. Other than that it's to be expected - Jason Jones really? Say they beat the Broncos, anyone really think they have a shot in Seattle or against the red hot Cards? Pains me to say it as a fan but 0-5 or 1-4 to me is more likely than even 2-3.

Mayhew can build a team. He's proven that. Good players are playing poorly early on.

2-3 is very possible and Seattle is weaker than though.

Swanson, Reiff and Warford are the most disappointing.

Walker is TBD

If they don't beat Denver, the season is over. They won't win at Seattle, and 0-4=done.

San Diego and Minnesota are a couple of .500 or so teams. You have to win those games if you are considering yourself a great program.

It's not that they lost to Minnesota. They were not in that game at any point.

They were road games. Those teams win at home. And Vikings got Peterson back and our line decided to play terribly

7-1 at home and beating Rams, Bears, KC and Saints on road gets you to 11 wins.

8-0 home or beating Seahawks and Packers (which could happen) is just icing on the cake.

Lions were 7-1 home and 4-4 road last year. Not time to panic going 0-2 on road

Yeah it is. If they were competitive against Minnesota, or didn't implode and give up a 30-0 run against SD, then fine. The way they lost was sad.

If they lose to Denver on Sunday, this season's over. Period.

Who cares the way they lost. That doesn't mean shit for Week 3. Pats got bitchslapped at KC last year. Seattle lost at KC and at Rams last year (mediocre teams as you say). Yet SB.

And there are postives from each of those games.

I think it matters when they get pushed around in both games.

The Arizona games is going to be a harder one to win than Denver.

If I were to guess...I think they lose them both.

LOL of course. Negative just to be negative.

And if it does happen, you didn't say it because you knew based on the matchups. You said it just to be negative

no...basing it on what I have seen out of the Lions so far and what I have seen of AZ and Denver. Both of those teams appear to have significantly superior defenses, AZ has been pretty good on offense and I think Denver will have success offensively vs. the Lions. Things can change...you never know.
