2 sacks, 4 hits and 7 hurries for Detroit was decent but 5 sacks, 5 hits and 10 hurries by Minnesota is where Detroit's Dline needs to be.

Minnesota had better pressure than the Lions last year though. Their Dline is better especially with the emergence of Everson Griffen a guy sitting there in 2010 in the early 4th for Detroit. But Detroit swapped 4ths with Minny to move up for Best and took Fox later. Vikings took Cook in the trade down.

I love me some Pettigrew(desptie the drops) but 2009 Percy Harvin would look nice in a Lions uniform. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

As a unit...probably a little over rated. Suh is good, Avril is way over rated, Fairly was a wasted draft pick.

Avril had a decent day before his injury. That is going to be interesting how long he is out. Lions like every team need a stud DE. They have 2 DEs that range from good at times, mostly solid but sometimes very average in pass rush and both stink at run defense.

And still too early on Fairley but I'm not liking him the last 3 games.

Suh is good but too aggressive but that is how he is coached so we have to deal with that.

lol. Never said Avril was the second coming. Quote me on it. All i said was that he was our best DE on the team who got better every year he's been on the team. I NEVER said he deserved top money, but i agreed he should have been paid for his play. There were imbeciles on here saying that LoJack and Young would have been just as good OR better. What a joke.

And it looked like Avril was finally turning it around this Minny game and getting after the QB finally. Hope he isn't injured for long.
