“Not really the tight end position, but inside receiver that’s the one I’m really not used to playing that third receiver,’’ Johnson said. “I’m usually playing the two outside receivers.’’Again, he’s not complaining. With Tate and Ebron on the field, he could see more one-on-one coverage.

“Golden is going to get a lot of one-on-one coverages man and like all the weapons that we have those one-on-ones will go full circle and I might some more myself,’’ Johnson said.

From the Oakland Press TODAY. What myself and a couple of other guys were telling you a few days ago. Right out of the horse's mouth!!! lol

Until I hear it from the opposing defences mouth it means little. That deserves an lol.

Is the term "weapons" linked forever with the Detroit Lions?

WMD....Weapons of Mass Destruction. Unfortunately, the Lions have Matt Stafford in charge of the WMD and he isn't very accurate. There could be a lot of collateral damage including the bombs blowing up in the Lion's faces (pick 6's)

I don't think Calvin will see more one on ones. The other weapons now should beat one on ones though easier and that is huge. That wasn't the case all the time in the past years.

Stafford was 70% completion to Pettigrew,Burlesonn,Bush and Bell last year. Calvin had another monster year despite injuries. He can deliver to actual weapons.

no shit...pick the guys that he just dumps off to and the completion % will look good. Manning completed 77% to his dump off players (RBs and TEs)

I included a WR in there too. Those were his main weapons. And like I said Calvin had a monster year despite the completion % to him (forced doubles due to nobody else getting open and more drops than usual).

Stafford delivers to his top guys. And now we have better top guys in Tate and Ebron.

Durham just sucks. Ogletree didn't know the playbook (seems to be doing well now), Fauria was redzone only and Broyles was limited then hurt and out again.

And stop comparing to Peyton. 70% is really good no matter who you are.

Calvin was his MAIN weapon but you failed to include him...you cherry picked

I mentioned him. Calvin had a huge year. Because Stafford made plays to Calvin. And including Calvin it's still 64.3%. So still very good.

Durham and the other backups screwed Stafford.

And the reason I didn't include Calvin because I was talking about his complementary weapons. But with Calvin it's still good as you can see.

Durham, Ogletree, Ross, Edwards Riddick and Dickerson. 46% on 146 attempts

Stafford isn't the problem. Those guys just sucked.

60% to Fauria. 57% to limited Broyles. 58% to Scheffler.

Everyone but Calvin sees one on one match ups always have. Huge news there Tony. Huge.

Calvin was saying he might see less doubles if you read what he posted.

And it is huge news because now Detroit have players to beat single coverage easier. Tate and Ebron will have a field day.

Tate and Ebron bring more explosivness over Burleson and Pettigrew.

Really strong endorsement. I might shit a unicorn this morning. Lemme get back to you. Like we said for that to happen the others would have to go off and put up huge numbers, likely for multiple games or at least halfs...that's why he said "might come to full circle". The mouth breathers were saying just because we drafted a tight end way to high defenses wil play us differently.

my guess is if you pick any QB's best weapons you will come up with a completion percentage above 65%.

So Stafford can't compete passes to crappy players..? He's the dumbest QB in league. Oh I know, they couldn't get open :lmao: you've been using that one for a year..yet he throws it to them anyways..

And I thought Broyles was your boy..and 2nd round fk up.

I agree that Calvin won't see less doubles. Just saying what he said. But the Lions have the ability to destory defenses with Ebron and Tate now against one on ones.

Separation is key. Plus Durham had drops. Ross and Riddick had some drops too. Stafford did his job to those guys. Those guys just suck and couldn't hang onto to the ball or get enough separation.

Broyles only had 14 targets. 8 of 14. But he was lmited by the ACL clearly. We'll see if Broyles ever recovers. Looks like Ogletree now that he has the playbook down can get the job done.

Separation is key but only a stupid QB throws it to Durham in coverage. He could try and read a progression..but that's asking too much of him.

Broyles 8/14. 3 drops. So 11/14 based on Stafford making plays to him. True 78%
Edwards 5/11 1 drop. 6/11 54%
Riddick 4/8 1 drop 62.5% to him truly
Ross 5/10 2 drops. 7/10 is 70% truly based on Stafford getting him the ball properly

Durham 38/82 (he sucks so bad). 10 drops 48/82. 58.5% without the drops but he sucks at separation as a big receiver
Ogletree 13/25 1 drop. 14/25. 56% without knowing the playbook.

18 drops by these backups. Screwed the completion % even more.
