I think he does a pretty decent job. Is he all-world? No, but he is good enough. He has had some bad moments against some really good wide receivers. That is why those guys are good, though.

He had a heck of a game. Usually not a strong tackler, but he's made huge improvements everywhere else. Not a liability. I'll eat a little crow based on how I've viewed him up until this year.

He sucks and his pick was a gift and had nothing to do with good cb play.

He played a GREAT game against Illinois, period.

according to some people, reasonable people who make reasonable comments during games and don't resort to hyperbole every 5 seconds, Floyd was simply the latest "worst defensive back in history" in a long line of "worst defensive backs in history" at Michigan.

you become a "worst defensive back in history" when the opposing team completes a pass toward your side of the field.

...when it happens ALLLLL the time with a 10 yd cushion and the ball is in the WRs hands and hes not even out of his back pedal yet. Ya he sucks. Read and react....he has none of these things.

Floyd, like all members of the defense, is really improving. He is no longer being Gibsoned and that is more important than I can even describe in words. Floyd will never be a standout All-American CB, but he has greatly improved now that he actually has coaching.

If theyre smart next year he wont get the chance to improve unless its in a nickel role. Countess should start and play the freshman coming in. Floyd will get passed in spring training.

i hate ripping on any 20 yo kid. But I am uniquely human warts and all...I vow to be better about criticizing by eliminating it. He played a great game after taking a lot of heat for those 15 yard cushions....there my last dig-- promise

JT Floyd will always be this to me...

Of course the exact oposite of all this happened on the pick you didn't give him any credit for.

Michael Floyd, BJ Cunningham, etc etc get a lot of yards against good corners every single week.

There is a chance that he is told to give a 10 yard cushion.

lol watch the pick again. It was a gift overthrow.

It wasn't an overthrow, he jumped the route on a classic case of QB going to the well one too many times...

Jenkins had a horrible game with numerous drops....had little to do with floyds coverage imo. The announcers agreed and talked to that point numerous times throughout the game.

Did they also tell you to think that the interception was a gift?
