Caris still being projected mid first round for this year

He'll get dominated by physical defenders in the NBA. He's not strong enough yet and his jump shot is still too inconsistent.

Were they patting each other on the back, and saying things like "dang, that was such an obvious non-foul, I can't believe you pulled that call off...and at a really critical time in the game, too...gutsy call, man..."

The NBA has a deal w/marriott so I've seen it before and the refs can't stay where the teams do.

They keep quiet but were commenting on SportsCenter highlights - about how some players are injured and so forth.

One time the guys did a Lakers game and jumped in to break up a fight. When they got back to the hotel everyone who'd watched the game was giving them props

I agree to some extent, but I think the talent is too diluted. they need to cut a couple franchises, (easier said than done...), cut the season back 60 some games, and make the first couple rounds of the playoffs shorter.

I don't know about the talent being too diluted. There are more guys that can dribble, drive, and shoot from anywhere (regardless of height and size) on the court now than there has ever been. Look at the Western Conference right now, and you legitimately have ten really, really good teams. And every major professional sports league could and should shorten its season by like 20%, but that won't happen in any of them because of the bottom line.

Though I definitely agree with everyone that the one and done rules have hurt the college game significantly. I think you just make it two years. More kids might leave to play overseas at that point, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing either.

And I wouldn't be opposed to shortening the first round, but I don't think many of you watched last year's postseason. The first round was seriously the climax of the NBA season. Dallas brought the Spurs to seven games (in an 8-1 matchup) and there were four or five great series overall, and with the West being completely stacked again I bet this year will be similarly great (though I recognize this isn't necessarily the norm).

The NBA gets a bad rep on this board, but it always feels like most of the heat comes from people that haven't paid much attention to the league in the last decade to be completely honest.

Personally I haven't paid much attention to the league for the past decade or so because I think the players are lazy, the season too long, games largely boring and imbalance that is biased towards a few key players and teams.

I joke about the league being fixed but it is, pretty much.

I go to one or two Nuggets games or lakers games when in LA but otherwise would never just sit and watch an NBA game (playoffs or regular season)

NBA should begin on Xmas Day and go to Memorial Day ...that's long enough and spans NFL to MLB well enough for people who like NBA

Hail, those types of series are few and far between. There's a reason that 8, 7 seeds basically never win. The upper teams are so superior to the lower teams.

Typically, other than the 4-5, 3-6 matchups, the other ones rarely excite. And they go on FOREVER. The scheduling is horrible.

He's a fictitious character on the long running CBS hit TV show NCIS. He's a Naval Special (Very Special) investigator.

In the character's back story, he was the starting point guard on an Ohio State Buckeye basketball team that went to the final four one season.

He's played by the actor, Michael Weatherly.

One day, in real life, I was out walking my dogs, and I met Michael Weatherly (Dinozzo).

Did I ever tell you about that?

LOL - You tell that story so well. I watch NCIS (all of them) avidly. Figured you would get it, since you just told the story in Diggler forums. Thanks Tinsel.

I was surprised when they knocked her off. Gibbs sure has made a lot of enemies. I hear Fornell is still taking it pretty rough in the latest episode.

Preview for next week shows fornell struggling

I too was surprised by knocking her off,,she was entertaining as the common wife between the two, and the whole thing with Tim

If you watched last ine Gubbs approached Bishop's husband about Russian and Mideast terrorist working together

Wondering if we are circling where we might see Ziva for an episode. :)

That would be interesting with Tony finally having a new girl friend after quite a bit of time.

BTW - I saw where Gibbs and Mr. Bishop were the only two left at the dinner, but missed the reason - will have go back and watch. Got all the latest from the three series DVR'ed and watch them as I get time.
