Chris Ash fired

Was signing on to post

BREAKING: Chris Ash was fired Sunday as Rutgers head coach in a shakeup that also includes the dismissal of offensive coordinator John McNulty. Nunzio Campanile will take over as interim head coach for the rest of the season. The report:

"As part of his buyout, Rutgers will owe Ash approximately $8.47 million, with part of his $2.3 million salary from this year still to be paid and the $7.5 million he?s owed through the 2022 season."
:ugh:

I called it during the game. They have been losing big since forever, but I thought for some reason yesterday would be his last day. They have 2 stud running backs and both have been pretty shut down this season. Nothing really going right for those turds.

A friend who is in NJ says Nunzio?s brother Anthony is on short list for next visch

Someone posted that any big 10 coach could be getting the same results as Harbaugh does if they were at Michigan

Does that extend to Chris Ash?

Rutgers is not a Big 10 program. They are a TV coverage footprint. Nothing more.

I originally said practically every coach in the Big 10 could be getting the same results as Harbaugh at Michigan. I said practically to intentionally exclude Ash and Lovie/Black Santa. It's glaringly obvious those two are way below every other coach.

Way to screw up the answer to a yes/no question.

I honestly think in the next 5 years we’ll see Rutgers leave the conference either by their own choosing or forcefully asked to leave. What a complete debacle that literally everyone not named Jim Delany could have seen coming.

I don't know if they'd even be competitive in the FCS.

This fire isn?t damaging and changed nothing.

The guy was already Ash.

Get it?

Fire Ash?

Get it?

So why not just say that you believe that 4 or 5 coaches that are currently coaching in the big 10 could be getting the same results as Harbaugh at Michigan or better?

You already mentioned Lovie and Ash.

Fleck?

Brohm?

Franklin?

Frost?

Tom Allen?

Locksley?

Sounds the old days where people criticized Carr and said that any coach in the country could win 8 or 9 games at Michigan every year. Well, we learned differently.

Rutgers has good players in NJ, who don’t want to go there. With cause. It needs someone courageous enough to be the player others will follow.

So you're saying they need a "Messiah?"

Because it's more than 4-5. Every coach you just listed could be winning 73% of their games with this talent.

I excluded Ash and Lovie only.
