Chris Greenwood Signed by Dallas

I remember when all 3 of you were saying "its too early on Greenwood etc" BS. Not too early anymore. You do the same with LeShoure and Whitehead and the other bums we have.

You know, one of these times I'd like to see you get one right.

Greenwood is so good other teams are snatching him up.

And the Lions are so stacked at CB, they had to put Greenwood on the PS. Great job Mayhew.

Okay, folks. LKP has lost it.

Houston, Slay, Bentley, Mathis, Green. Too much talent that stud inexperienced Greenwood had to be risked on the PS.

Yeah, thats a bit much. Without a ton if pressure on the qb, these dbs get shredded

Without good pressure, most secondaries get shredded.

Great job Mayhew building a good deep Dline.

Thanks to our high picks. I give Mayhew credit for not fucking up high picks. Its the 2nd and beyond that he misses on. Yeah I know other teams do as well but he seems to do worse than anyone else.

are you keeping track of these? Maybe we should sticky something. Make sure "pettigrew wont turn the ball over as much", "fox will stay healthy", "staff will have his WRs" are all on there. Im sure im missing a couple.

The team has done well protecting the ball with a +3 turnover differential.
Stafford has plenty of weapons still, way more than last year. Fluke bad luck with Burleson.
Hilliard has done well in Fox place. Great job Mayhew.

And Greenwood was snatched up. Doesn't mean he's a bad player, in fact another team wanting him shows just the opposite.

Lions ST coverage has been just fine with Whitehead and Lewis. Good job Mayhew. Palmer stepped up nicely and Levy is having a good year so far.

And LeShoure on the bench just means Bush/Bell were better. Nothing wrong with that as they have produced. Doesn't mean Leshoure is bad, just lots of talent at RB for Detroit.

Riddick gives special teams support and is a backup for Bush. Bell was healthy so LeShoure sits. It's obvious to those who aren't haters.

I'm not arguing about Staff, he's been good. Or the team in general, 2-1 and for the most part we've play well.

Its about those failed 2nd round and later picks; I'd like one to be good now and again. Not sure why others wouldn't want that as well..

As far as Greenwood being snatched up shows others wanted him..remember when we traded for Thomas only to release him..it tells me nothing about Greenwood other than that's what teams do, take a chance on someone else's PS slash waiver pick ups. Rarely do they work out..

It means he was drafted too high which is the point. I could care less if Leshoure was a 5th or 6th round pick but a 2nd, its happening too much.

A 2nd is fine for him using a 3rd/4th to get that EXTRA late 2nd. LeShoure has talent but the Lions have lots of talent at RB. Bell earned it and we are getting production. If we weren't getting production you could complain but we have depth and production.

And remember all draft picks are made with information at the time. At the time, LeShoure didn't have a torn achilles. At the time, he never fumbled in college. At the time, he had good produciton and at the time late 2nd was the proper draft grade for him.

This hindsight business some of you guys are trying to pull is beyond ridiculous. You don't work for the Lions and didn't have all the draft info at the time, so shut it and enjoy the production from Bush and Bell with depth of LeShoure.

You're not drinking the kool-aid you're smoking it. When did the Lions become a RB feared club? Geez man, middle of the pack at best.

Bush's monster game and the looks the Redskins gave Bell. 3 games in. You're living in 2012 still. Wake up for 2013. Calvin will always be the main focus but Bush is now priority 2 for teams.

What does Bush have to do with the fact we're a middle of the road running team..

Bush being out may have more to do with that. He had a monster game week 1 and a big explosive play Week 2. This game is all about explosive plays and the Lions need them.

Bush produced several so far. Bell's 12 yard TD run was huge. Remembr when we settle for FGs a bunch last year on long drives. Bell has some nice catches and runs after catch. Bell had an efficient first game and good start to the Redskin game (which allowed Burleson to have 2 40 yard plays).

These explosive plays are huge for the Lions offense and much needed for wins.

Is there room for improvement yes for consistent running but the explosive plays and the RB needing to be respected has been huge for the Lions offense.

im seeing mostly 6 man fronts with nickel coverage still. So, Im not so sure about the respect part. The major factor the RB plays is a much better option to make a play in the short pass game other than pettigrew catching the ball and being tackled right away. Bush is obviously much more of a threat than Bell to make a huge play out of nothing....nothing against Bell....hes doing a great job. Bush, when healthy, should still get a bulk of the carries. I understand hes more injury prone but i think the pattern is now that no one can really run the ball in this offense......at the least Bush has the more big play potential.

The Redskins respected the Lions run and it showed on tape on that article I showed. It led to big plays. Lions need to prove more running the ball but so far so good, plenty of points (dealing with really long drives) and hopefully more to come with Bush back.
