Christie Creme almost comes out as an Anti-Vaccination nut

I think you could make a case for JFK. Maybe Nixon. and Jimmy Carter. Certainly they all more or less spent their lives in service to the United States & the public.

Say what you want about the rest of the Kennedy clan, but at least JFK and RFK seemed dedicated to governing.

Joe Sr. wanted his sons in succession to be POTUS. Nixon was obsessed with the office. Carter might be a possibility but he was planning to run at least as far back as '72. Eisenhower had to be convinced to run.

if that's the qualification, then maybe George W. Bush.

Didn't he need to be convinced to run? I thought that was the story... the GOP hacks from Bush Sr.'s Administration (Cheney/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz/The Heritage Foundation Gang) knew no one inside or outside DC could stand them, & they needed a likable figurehead who voters "would want to have a beer with" in order to get their hands back on the reigns of power.

in 1999 George W. was happy as a clam co-owning the Texas Rangers, hanging with ball players, throwing out first pitches, etc. Becoming President really threw a monkey wrench in his social calendar.

That would have been a little earlier, in 1999 he was actually the Governor of Texas; and he had been for about a half a decade...

But you have a point; those neo-cons that you refer to may have gone to him as far back as 1993 with the plan "ya gotta start out by being the Governor..."...and yeah, he could have been happy as a clam then doing all that other stuff with the Texas Rangers...

This also doesn't deserve its own thread:

"Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy says that during the 45-minutes he and his wife spent Tuesday with Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul, he and Paul agreed on Nevada's right to sovereignty."

"Bundy said Paul told him: "If I was president of the United States, Nevada would have their sovereignty," Bundy told KNPR's State of Nevada program."

So if Aynrandy was elected, would he become the President of the Independent Nation-States of America, or just the President of Washington DC?

And that freaking batshit-crazy Craven Bundy aughtta be arrested and charged with federal tax-evasion, but apparently the Feds don't want another "Whacko" on their hands.
