And penalties. I know it's only been a handful in total, but it seems like the team is just being stupid when they don't need to.

People need to stop with this "effort" BS. This team is just flat NOT GOOD. Not yet. It has nothing to do with.....oh this is Central I dont have to try too hard......because if that's the case Dantonio is FAILING as a coach.
This is stupid. No reason Central should even be in the game right now.
Oline is terrible......has been all year.
DB's are terrible in Man 2 Man.
Stupid penalties.
OSU will beat us by 30 if we don't get a lot better.....quickly. U of M will beat us too.
So are you the opinion police now?
When I see a WR pull up on a route that would have been a TD. That's lack of effort!
When I see a QB not carry out a fake on an option and get his RB lit up by 2 guys. That's lack of effort!!
When I see a DB slow down and put his hand out instead of putting a body on a runner leading to a big play. That's lack of effort!!!

The problem with all that is knowing how the team has actually played up to it's potential once. O-Line got the job done, DBs got the job done, team only committed two penalties. You are absolutely right that the team is playing like garbage right now, but it's not that the team just isn't capable of better.
Exactly, there is a difference between not playing good and not being good. Seems that booger thinks that we are the latter.

Not the most intimidating non conference schedule. ALL three were in the game in the 4th quarter.
So far in 2015, the norm has been terrible play. The anomaly has been the good game against Oregon.
Can they play better.....of course. But they have outplayed by all four opponents for big stretches of every game. That's not good.

Right now......we ARE the latter.
The team that took the field today would get beat by OSU, U of M, PSU and maybe Indiana.
Are you denying that?
I can guarantee that the team that took the field will NOT take the field against any of those teams.

Team looks pretty bad. We've not played well this season save for 3 quarters against OU.
And the injuries are piling up like a mountain. Even a lot of the guys that are playing are banged up. Conklin looked to be walking fine, doubt it's serious. Heath isn't supposed to be out long. Kieler will be back soon. Williamson is banged up and playing, same with McDowell and Thomas. We really miss Davis rushing the passer and playing the edge. Copeland's injury is a killer.
This team needs to improve a ton to finish 10-2 IMO.
