Coaching openings

Such a fair comparison! Coughlin, Switzer, and Carroll all agree that coaching retreads are a bad idea!

I was also hoping to see you justify how it was McDaniels fault in St Louis, kind of disappointed.

How is it not fair? Because it doesn't prove your point?

What's funny is you say "bring more to the argument" but the only case you've made, AT ALL, for McDaniels is that he'll learn from his mistakes. That's it. How will he be a good fit here? What offense will he run? How will he utilize CJ if he comes back? What kind of defense will he want?

C'mon ...... Bring more to the table!!! Enlighten us.

It's not fair because I can't think of a situation where a coach lost (badly) with a team and then gets brought back for a second run with the same team.

I'm not even pro McDaniels, I'm simply saying discounting a coach simply because he didn't win at his previous gig is a bad philosophy. I think he COULD be a good fit because he and Quinn will obviously be on the same page, something Quinn stressed was very important to him. As far as scheme/CJ/defense; don't be a dick, none of us know what he or any other possible coach is going to do and I never claimed to have that kind of insight.

P.S. Still waiting on that St Louis explanation. Don't leave me hanging!

These guys working under Bill have a rough go of it because the guys a genius and doesn't share crap. He only gives them what he needs them to have. They leave and they're in over their heads quick, especially when they realize that Bill had all the power and they are limited.

Belicheck should have never got a 2nd opportunity then.

Teryl Austin interviewing with the Titans. Last open job. He's either getting Rooney Ruled so they can officially name Mularkey or its his last legitimate shot.

The Titans hiring Mularkey would be great for the Lions, plenty of options if Caldwell is let go

I had a hunch all along that Austin wasn't going to be a HC this season.

Latest reports are that Tenn. is down to Mularkey and Marrone. Austin no longer a candidate.

Good, bring him back.

It was only a matter of time. Just wait until our California posters have a team worth rooting for

That was the one thing I miss from the old ESPN boards was other team's LKPs filtering in to have a jab at us. You think we hate Mike Stafford? Remember the Stafford vs. Freeman vs. Sanchez trolls? Those were actual trolls, not the glass half full/half empty arguments we have here. It gave us something to coalesce around every once and awhile.

I agree. Every so often we could put aside any squabbles and squash a troll together. I miss that.

Eagles hired Gym Shorts as DC.

Think they will want to carry him off the field when we face them???
