Conference Championship Day Games Thread

I'm picking both favorites the 49ers and the Patriots, to win.

Woulda picked the 9ers too.....but Atlanta is DOMINATING them right now 17-0. Julio Jones is a STUD!!!

Didn't see that happening.

Lotta game left....but it's JV vs Varsity right now.

Nevermind....17-14.

Each team has dominated a quarter. Should be a good 2nd half.

I took 49'ers & Patriots and the little dude went Falcons, Ravens.

He loves the Ravens for some damn reason.

That aughta do it, Falcons give up the ball on downs @ the 49ers 10 yd line, w/ ~a minute left. 28-24.

I just don't ever want to hear that we can't win because of the way our coach acts. Harbaugh is a psychopath....and they win.

Falcons may get one last shot @ scoring a TD, 49ers 4th down and 5 @ 15 yd line.

nope, just one bird left alive now. 49ers win.

NFL has to be happy with the Superbowl matchups. You either get SF vs. NE and Brady or you get the Harbaugh bowl and Ray Lewis' last game ever.

was a decent game. they took away kaepernick's run game and the kid still made plays thru the air and gore did a good job inside. One of the more impressive runs to the super bowl for a 2nd year qb id have to think.

All these rookie/inexperienced QB's were just ridiculous this year...Luck, RG3, Wilson, Kaepernick. It's a whole new world now.

Yeah, and they are often a threat to score with both their arms and their feet. Who was the Lions' most mobile QB? Kitna? Since he led the NFL in being sacked ~115 times and for ~700 yds lost in '06-'07, he sure moved around a lot in the backfield, whether he wanted to or not...:ashamed:

They were sorta joking before the game about Matt Ryan saying the traditional drop back passer is now the oddball. It will be interesting to see how they all do next year...sophomore slump??? Do teams figure them out?

Mike McMahon, Stanton, Garcia

Not many and I suppose Garcia was, although he didn't play QB for the Lions for very long. Lions have had plenty of QBs who soon developed happy feet, though.

The Seahawks Wilson and the 49ers Kaepernick most likely have cemented in their starting QB status for next season, which might mean that Alex Smith and the expensive ex-Packer backup Matt Flynn, who spent the '12 season as a backup for Seattle, both could be on the trade block during the offseason. Unfortunately for Flynn, he did not get a chance to QB vs the Lions again, to potentially increase his trade value.

Yeah, surprised he didn't pull a Tonya Harding that game.

How has no one has mentioned Rodney Peete as the most mobile. I remember him extending plays with his legs.

that interception by the ravens does it, I might be the only person in boston with a smile on his face, ravens 28 - patriots 13.
belichick declines postgame interview with CBS. #soreloser

Both home teams were shut out in the second half today. I wonder If Flacco will finally get his due because this isn't the old Ravens team with a fantastic D. Flacco beat Manning and Brady back to back on the road.
